UK pressing. 2010 release from the Swedish Pop sensation, the third and final album in Robyn's unique trilogy for 2010. Features five of the best tracks from Body Talk Pts One and Two plus five brand-spanking new songs from the ridiculously prolific ...
Robyn's "Bodytalk" compilation is very much recommended if you enjoy high-energy dance/pop music of a musician who projects much creativity and personal power.
Much like Janelle Monae in the R&B genre, Robyn has found a way to innovate within the dance/pop genre while making songs with sincere emotions and a clarity of vision that is maintained throughout the entire album
Wonderful to dance to, but also worthy of deeper contemplation, Robyn will be considered the real pop queen once there's time for serious re-evaluation.
You get the idea that Robyn is the sweet and shafted heroine, which is soft and vulnerable in texture.
If you haven't already heard it (released as a single), the fully produced version of "Indestructible" is on par with standout holdovers "Hang with Me" (the acoustic version from part 1 is equally good) and "Dancing on My Own" showing that Robyn is one of the most amazing lyricists in recent memory.
It's hard to even pick what I think are the best tracks, since almost every one is a winner, but some of my favorites are: "Dancing On My Own", a heartfelt lament of love lost to a relentless indsutrial beat; "Indestructible", (which appeared earlier in an alternate version, but the final version sounds amazing with a pulsing, throbbing soundscape); "Time Machine", an interesting song about regret; and "U Should Know Better", in which Robyn, a pixie-ish Swede, holds her own with a US rapper.
I loved the original version (which I still prefer), but this version is totally club ready and more in line with what we expect from Robyn

Wow this girl came out of nowhere and her music its really good , if u are a fan of electro/dance music this album should be in ur collection
Instead, she encourages her new mate to let the other girl down easy--to promise her that they will still be friends and to not go into specifics about why the relationship isn't working out.

It's a strong and catchy way to get the album up and going
I am a lover of ballads, especially when sung by artists with voices who can carry out notes in an effective way like I know Robyn can
I know i have a bias for the swedes, but i don't care! That out of the way, i do not feel that this album is as great as it could have been
Robyn has a beautiful way of making HAPPY music that is edgy enough to validate adult enjoyment.

It's amazing -- best music purchase I've made in years and years.
I agree with other reviews that the album is much better when purchased individually
For those that have the EPs, this is still a solid purchase for the new tracks alone
And, if you're like me and have been following the release slate, there's enough new here to merit the purchase, especially if amazon keeps the price down
Don't mistake her for merely another menial pop queen - there's genuine feeling, pain,
Ke$ha (who has released 2 great albums this year, which includes even more subversive pop-bangers than the Body Talk trilogy combined). For those of you that don't already own part 1 and 2 of Body Talk, this is a must-buy!For those of you that do own those parts, you should just buy the 5 new songs as digital downloads, in an attempt to defy capitalism making you another victim
Body Talk is my favorite pop album of the last 10 years.
I consider it one of the best pop singles I've ever heard
Body Talk" is easily the best pop album of 2010, and probably one of the best of the decade
Though they're all really good (apart from We Dance to the Beat, which I'm not too fond of), some my favorite tracks on the album are:Time MachineHang With MeDancing On My
Asides from "U Show Know Better" and "Dancehall Queen" (the two weakest tracks), the album is addictive
My favorite track is "Indestructible" but there are several other quality tracks
In "Hang With Me", she tells a platonic friend that he can hang with her as long as he doesn't fall helplessly, hopelessly in love with her
I had sort of lost track of her until I heard she was releasing several EPs in 2010.
