Bonavita 8-Cup One-Touch Coffee Maker Featuring Hanging Filter Basket and Thermal Carafe, BV1901PS

    • We found that we prefer a bit less than the 10g/5oz recommended by Bonavita
    • Coffee tastes great; not the least bit bitter
    • A bit noisy while brewing but the brewing process is quick and it then shuts itself off automatically so it does not continue to heat the made coffee.
    • I wish the carafe was a bit easier to clean but other than that no complaints.
    • It is true that you have to use a paper towel or shake it a bit to get all of the water to come out after you clean it.
    • Sadly, though, when I pour coffee from the carafe a bit of coffee spills, and, as others have complained, it's almost impossible to get all the coffee out of the carafe without shaking it upside down
    • My only complaint is that it can be a bit difficult to pour water into the reservoir using the carafe without the lid (and who wants to put the lid on just to pour out water).
    • I even have to let it cool down a bit
    • I solved both problems with a cheap water pitcher with a mark to remind me how much water I can add, but still you have to let it brew a bit and then top off the water or it will leak through the plastic seals and spill onto the counter
    • every morning.)I was a bit hesitant with this brewer, and really every Bonavita brewer on the market
    • But my morning routine says a bit longer would be nice.
    • Also, the exposed brewing basket operates bit louder than I’m accustomed to.
    • The carafe keeps coffee warm for quite a while, but it is difficult (read: friggin' impossible) to drain the last bit of coffee out of the carafe
    • Also like others who have reviewed, I'm a bit of a coffee snob and border line coffee geek that enjoys watching coffee completions and is hopeful to attend one as a viewer someday
    • I should slow down my life a bit anyway.
    • Only con is the pouring top is a bit on the slow side when pouring a cup of coffee from the carafe
    • It is near-pourover quality with a fraction of the effort, though that isn't to say this machine doesn't require a bit of work to break in
    • I've found that I grind a bit less than I did with my Hamilton Beach to get the best flavor.
    • However, the comments about the stainless carafe are true, does not keep hot and is a bit messy to use.
    • The replacement carafes are a bit hard to find and expensive but if I can get my husband to stop breaking them, it won't be a problem.
    • Just a little bit of that deep smooth sweet burnt wood taste (sorry, that's how I describe it).I can't wait to go to
    • If you've used the most commonly purchased brands of coffee pots your entire life thus far, like me, then using this coffee brewer might confound you a little bit at first.
    • Not being able to pull the carafe out, without the filter basket coming with it was a bit backward to me at
    • Coffee tastes great; not the least bit bitter
    • pouring water from the carafe into the bonavita is a bit sloppy with the spout or it could be an operator issue.
    • Like some of the other reviewers stated, you can't get the last bit of coffee out
    • The advertised capacity of 40 ounces seems a bit optimistic ... my usual morning pot (filtered water up to the top fill line, 80 grams of ground coffee) results in two good 16 - 18 ounce travel mugs worth of coffee
    • After brewing, my first cup of coffee is not even as hot as I like
    • doesn't keep the coffee hot as I
    • Thanks for the information, as I really like my coffee hot!
    • n’t write to many reviews but this coffee maker tops them all.
