The very well-designed and broad sprayhead disperses water over the grounds typically between 195-200 degrees, based on my digital thermometer, and the resulting brew is more flavorful, and hotter, than any other coffee maker I've had over the years....thermal cone carafe, ceramic cone pour over, French Press, Aeropress.

The basket is the most simple design with an open hole in the bottom, so it's not like any water put in for pre-infusion is going to stay in the basket, it just starts the brewing process right away and heading for the hole in the bottom of the basket

- The filter mug hence does not attach to the top of the frame or cannot be sliced into a slot on top - This is a bad design in terms of usability as after the process id completed, you will have to place the filter mug somewhere on the countertop by itself.
