Bonavita 8-Cup One-Touch Coffee Maker Featuring Hanging Filter Basket and Thermal Carafe, BV1901PS

    • The stainless steel carafe is heavy, well built and keeps the coffee warm while not over cooking it as there is no hot plate under it
    • My final solution to this problem is to decant a fresh brewed pot into a quality stainless steel vac insulated 1 liter water bottle.
    • The biggest issue with the coffee maker is the stainless steel carafe as many people have complained about excess coffee or water being trapped in the carafe due to poor design
    • The Bonavita definitely delivers!Regarding the stainless steel carafe, I have read some negative reviews on it.
    • The features I wanted were a (relatively) compact size, 8-cup capacity, speedy brewing process, and a stainless steel thermos to keep the freshly-brewed coffee hot over the course of a few hours
    • There is one problem though, when you pour the coffee out the stainless steel pot if not careful you'll spill cover all over the place
    • And the stainless steel carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours and you won't break that carafe when you wash it.
    • Maybe I'd feel differently if I'd bought the stainless steel carafe.
    • The stainless steel has a plastic lid and pourer which are difficult to clean well, because part of the pour path is not easily accessible
    • Ended up replacing the carafe with a 6 cup Chemex and throwing out the plastic brew basket and "stainless" steel carafe.
    • The only thing I wish was the reservoir was stainless steel
    • For 10 years, I have been happily using a Bodum stainless steel French Press
    • The stainless steel carafe is NOT dishwasher safe.
    • I do agree with other reviewers that the lid for the stainless steel craft is quite brittle and can break easily
    • The coffee brews at the perfect temperature, and the insulated stainless steel pot keeps the coffee hot for a long time.
    • It is impossible to get all of the coffee out of it as the plastic part connected to the stainless steel body has a rim around it that keeps close to 1/4 cup of coffee from being able to be poured out without removing the top and holding it at a 180 degree pour...which is a messy thing to do.
    • Plus, the stainless steel carafe is terrible!!!
    • Stainless steel is attractive.
    • One more issue to consider on the stainless steel carafe is the water waste
    • Pour _all_ the coffee into insulated mugs or a good, pre-heated thermos (Thermos 32 Ounce Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel
    • The older model has a glass-lined carafe, the new one is stainless steel
    • I prefer the stainless steel over glass, less risk in getting burned while pouring
    • Have no idea what's under the "stainless steel spray" on inside.
    • The stainless steel is attractive and easy to keep clean
    • The provided stainless steel carafe is just lousy.
    • Some people, like me, are sensitive to the flavor that is produced using a stainless steel carafe
    • Ever notice similar issues in your stainless steel tumblers
    • Stainless steel carafe makes coffee taste different, get the one with the glass carafe.
    • I have-one glass and the other stainless steel
    • The carafe is stainless steel.
    • The stainless steel carafe is just great for keeping the coffee fresh andready to drink
    • I bought this coffee maker because it got good reviews, was SCAA certified, and looks nice (matched my stainless steel appliances)
    • The biggest issue with the coffee maker is the stainless steel carafe as many people have complained about excess coffee or water being trapped in the carafe due to poor design
    • Which unfortunately is one of the better steel carafes on the market - and I've gone through a bunch of them
    • The glass version has no problems when trying to pour out the coffee, so I consider it a huge advantage, but must take into account how fragile it can be compared to the stainless steel one.
    • Brews quickly and the stainless steel carafe keeps the coffee warmer than a glass one.
    • The stainless steel carafe is AWFUL.
    • I use it with my Chemex and stainless steel filter for a 'heavier' (my morning) style or a paper filter for a 'lighter' (dessert or tea time) style
    • The stainless steel in the title is only to differentiate the color but it is not a stainless-steel tank
    • Instead the carafe is double wall stainless steel
    • Carafe Coffee Brewer, Stainless Steel
    • I love the stainless steel carafe that keeps the coffee hot for
    • I hate the smell of burnt coffe so the stainless steel pot works nice
    • The stainless steel carafe worked well
    • The stainless steel carafe keeps it hot, so I only drink half a cup at a time
    • I went back and forth over whether I wanted a coffee maker with a glass carafe or a stainless steel thermal carafe, and while I could see the pros and cons of both, I ultimately opted for the glass carafe, in part because my wife and I almost never let our coffee sit long enough to get cold
    • I do like the stainless steel carafe which keeps the coffee hot longer than using the glass carafe.
    • Sometimes I take the stainless steel carafe with me in my car as it is like a nice thermos
    • In fact it doesn't stay hot for 1 hour.(88-90 degrees after 1 hour)The Stainless Steel Carafe is not lined
    • Inside the pot has something brushed on it...not solid stainless steel.
    • Unfortunately, the double wall stainless steel carafe is an integral part of the design
    • I have another stainless steel carafe that keeps liquids hot for hours, but in buying this system I was trying to avoid having to pour from one carafe into another, etc.
    • Unlike a glass carafe, this stainless steel carafe makes it impossible to see how much coffee is left.
    • This coffeemaker has a stainless steel carafe.
    • It brews up to eight 5-ounce cups (40 ounces total) into a high quality stainless steel carafe
    • The coffee cools down very quickly in the stainless steel pot
    • Urnex Cafiza Professional Espresso Machine Cleaning Powder 566 grams cleans the inside of the stainless steel carafe very well (like new).Do some research on the grind coarseness and coffee to water ratio.
    • However, since then, the carafe has started to get what looks to be rust where the stainless steel meets the plastic rim at the top
    • n’t write to many reviews but this coffee maker tops them all.
    • The carafe also doesn't keep it as warm as l like it for long.
