The on-off switch is stopped working

The clean, uncluttered design (one switch) is simpler, more probably reliable than a bunch of switches and LCDs

The on/off switch is easy to accidentally turn on by pushing another item into the brewer on the counter

However, the switch to keep the hot plate on did not work.

The switch was only a supplier failure

I looked real hard for a simple one switch well made brewer that wasn't ridiculously high priced and this one seems to fit the billing so far.

More importantly the on/off switch is faulty and has broken now on 2 units in less than 2 years

Also the switch is very tricky and doesn't always work the first time

I think the switch is bad as it will not turn on.

Silly switch with two functions, normal and brief pause for outgas - if you could see the blink signal on led embedded in switch you have to hold for x seconds until blink occurs

The switch was defective right from the beginning: push the switch, it would light up and then turn off immediately

After brewing, my first cup of coffee is not even as hot as I like
