    • They both heat the water to the correct temperature needed to extract the flavors from the bean grounds.
    • First was defective (temperature too low resulting in weak extraction).
    • We frequently buy fresh roasted coffee and this machine has the right temperature and we like the multi-spout sprinkle over the grinds much better than the Cuisinart, Hamilton Beach and our friend's Keuirig (not a fan of any Keurig type makers)ProsGreat coffeeConsNot as  convenient as other auto drips
    • It also keeps coffee at the ideal hot temperature, not lukewarm like the coil heating method over a glass carafe.
    • Makes good tasting coffee at the right hot temperature
    • Temperature slightly cooler than
    • Since the water is delivered from the reservoir to the coffee by boiling I don't see how it supposedly lowers the temperature to the "ideal brewing temperature" in the space of 3 inches.
    • The metal layers around it prevent costly glass carafe replacement and preserve the hot temperature
    • The coffee brews at the perfect temperature, and the insulated stainless steel pot keeps the coffee hot for a long time.
    • It brews a great cup of coffee and keeps the coffee the right temperature (not too hot either) while I'm enjoying my morning coffee hour.
    • Makes a great cup of coffee, but there are a couple of small things that are kind of off (at least for me).First, the temperature the brewed coffee seems a little inconsistent
    • I bought this coffee maker because it boasted optimal temperatures for coffee and because of the number of high reviews (which are now suspect)
    • The coffee is at the appropriate temperature - nice and hot after it finishes brewing.
    • I suspected the problem to be inconsistent brewing temperature
    • Makes good coffee at the correct temperature
    • I bought this because it was advertised as keeping the correct temperature for coffee, however that is not the case.
    • This coffee maker does NOT brew the perfect temperature for less than 4 cups.
    • And I wouldn't even use the word "hot" as a qualifier here, because at best the carafe delivered tepid temperature coffee
    • The right water temperature doesn't mean a thing if the heat gets lost in the air while brewing.2)
    • I liked the temperature of the coffee it made but it now shuts off before brewing even half of the water.
    • Pros:- Fountain head water dispenser allowing all the coffee grinds to be saturated- Brews coffee at the perfect temperature (91c / 195f) and heats the
    • Very hot and consistent temperature.
    • If you want a great cup of coffee, brewed at the correct temperature for delicious extraction and are willing to over look a few negatives, this makes a great cup of coffee.
    • Despite what the Bonavita website says the thermal carafe simply will not keep the coffee at a reasonable drinking temperature for any length of time.
    • It's set to a good temperature for drinking it black, but it's just hot enough that you can let it sit for a few minutes and it won't get coldYou can use a chemex under the machine
    • It boils the water at the perfect temperature
    • I like the fact that it is a simple machine that heats the water up to a just right temperature making a great cup of coffee.
    • Too bad given it heats up very quickly and has the water at the proper temperature for great coffee.
    • The temperature must be good for coffee brewing, as others have mentioned.
    • Not sure why coffee does stay hot because it brews at the correct temperature
    • The brew is at the right temperature, so it brews a nice cup.

    • I have one mug right away and the coffee is at a drinkable temperature- not too hot
    • Brews perfectly at the right temperature
    • If some folks are adding hot or warm water to boost brewing water output temperature this could cause an issue.
    • I wouldn't call it a game-changer as some other posts said but the coffee is very consistent and comes out the perfect temperature
    • It does not keep your coffee hot or warm for long, so if you are planning on having another cup say 30 or 45 mins after it is brewed it loses temperature considerably.
    • Makes excellent coffee.... temperature of the coffee is much hotter than typical.
    • Excellent flavor because it brews at correct temperature
    • But I was mislead by the manufacturer's description of the machine - specifically the claim that it extracts the coffee at the optimal temperature range which they stated was a couple degrees =
    • --there's something perfect here about the oxygenation (very little) and the temperature.
    • Good temperature and extraction
    • I read a different review that said the temperature did not get hot enough.
    • By contrast, when I boil water and add the same milk, the temperature is about 180.
    • n’t heat the water to the optimal temperature
    • Carafe does lose temperature relatively quickly over two hours.
    • Brews at the correct temperature
    • assuming at the correct temperature (I do not have the technology to verify that).
    • It makes a very flavorful cup of coffee with proper temperature and does so easily
    • Keeps it at a good temperature in the thermos thus it doesn't burn.
    • And yes the coffee tastes much better too now that I'm finally brewing coffee at the right temperature and time
    • It brews a great cup of coffee and keeps the coffee the right temperature (not too hot either) while I'm enjoying my morning coffee hour.
    • The Bonavita won out for me because the reviews indicated that it made a good cup of coffee and importantly, the temperature was hot and at the right level.
    • I like very hot coffee and the temperature is good in the carafe for a couple hours
    • The coffee comes out at a good temperature.
    • Coffee flavor is fine, but temperature is not nearly hot enough.

    • Fast but proper brew time and temperature
    • It is extremely fast and brews coffee at the perfect temperature.
    • It claims that the heater maintains an optimal brewing temperature of 195 - 205 degrees, yet when making 8 cups of coffee the temp of the coffee is only 175.
    • but the temperature really should have been hotter.
    • The manual says that optimal brewing temperature is from 195-205*F but my instant read thermometer only ticks up to about 192*, I'll keep checking this
    • If you don't immediately put on the pouring lid, the coffee loses temperature -- and exact brewing temperature was one of the main selling points
    • It brews very quickly and to a good temperature.
    • First, and most importantly, it gets the water up to the proper temperature of 195-205 and it gets the water through in a reasonable amount of time (about six minutes).
    • Also, this coffee maker was recommended by the staff at the Specialty Coffees Association of America as being only one of two brewers that brew at the optimal temperature and time to obtain the full characteristics of your chosen coffee bean, without scorching and destroying the delicate flavors
    • It combines ease of use with all the right features of a coffee brewer which require just the right water temperature and brewing time
    • The description gushes over the "Powerful and precise 1500-watt heater maintains optimal brewing temperature of 195"
    • It doesn't heat the water to a high enough temperature
    • The coffee is great and brews at the right temperature
    • I know this machine is trying to brew coffee at the "right" temperature, but it's almost like the machine isn't getting the water hot enough
    • It may heat water faster and up to the right temperature than others, but you will never know this because the minute those first few tablespoons of heated coffee hit the cold carafe it starts to cool down instantaneously
    • The temperature is accurate
    • Since it heats the water to a high enough temperature (c. 195º?), it extracts as much flavor as feasible, and that’s, obviously, what a coffee-brewer is supposed to do
    • It’s simple, does it well at the right temperature
    • Makes good coffee since it heats up to the right temperature
    • The first cup is hot but not at optimal temperature, subsequent cups are not much more than lukewarm
    • Brews well at the proper temperature and half the price of the Technivorm which it is replacing.
    • It brews at the perfect temperature
    • Makes good coffee, but the warmer doesn't stay on very long and the glass carafe loses temperature too quickly
    • n’t write to many reviews but this coffee maker tops them all.
    • now it works just as great as when it was new.
    • I read some reviews which said that the coffee doesn't come out hot enough/ stay warm in the carafe, but I've brewed a pot of coffee, poured about half of it into cups, and came back an hour later to refill them, and the coffee in the carafe was still just as hot as when it was brewed.
    • I've used other percolators, including nice expensive ones, but never found the coffee to be as good as from a Keurig or Aeropress
    • In addition, the coffee does not takes a good as from my 8 year old Cuisinart coffee maker
    • Thus, the coffee didn’t taste as good as it could.
    • This replaced a $300 dollar European coffemaker and is just as good as for less than half the price.
    • The carafe does a good job of keeping the coffee warm but not as hot as when it comes out of the machine.
    • The coffee doesn't seem to stay as hot as in our old one.
    • Not as great as it was rated
    • I would say if you're going to invest the money, pick up a grinder as well as it has made all the difference.
    • If coffee temperature is a concern, then I think there are coffee brewers out there with carafes that offer much better insulation, such as the Zojirushi EC-YSC100, available for the same amount of money
    • Most of the aroma should be going in the carafe so that your finished product tastes as good as it can.
    • For the short time my coffee sits in the carafe it stays nearly as hot as when I made it
    • I have owned you most in-expensive models and spent more based on widely regarded reviewer sources as well as from consumer reviews found on sites such as this one and found this little gem to give the biggest bang for the buck
    • Everything works as it should, and I am uber excited to have a pre-infusion mode to allow the coffee to bloom
    • After 4 months it doesn’t keep the coffee as warm after 20 minutes(so not as hot as when it was first bought).
    • n’t write to many reviews but this coffee maker tops them all.
