They had a very annoying tinny sound and the left side stopped working after a month.

These things produce great sound and are MUCH safer than using earbuds

why, then it hit me, this is bone conduction earphone, so ear canal is open, you can plug the ear canal and still hear from earphone, so when i work in noisy/ loud place, i can still hear music or audio book while i'm working with ear plug.
