Now I will have to struggle to figure out which connectors this system uses and will probably have to make my own cable, if I can find a male and female connector in that unusual size
These get a 3 from me for the nice size and design but for sound I would give them a 2.
I like the size and design and all but the quality of the sound isn't there
Bose is an excellent brand with good sound quality and these are the perfect size for a desk with a tower on it.

Even with a software equalizer, I can't get the highs or mids anyplace near where they're pleasant to listen to; it's just constant, mushy, headache inducing bass, like listening to loud music through a wall or underwater.
I got them for my grandma so she could enjoy the music on her computer

Best product ever you can go wrong w Bose ever, they look expensive great sound, quality, I use them at work, I had a lousy ones that had interference w my ipod or phone, and this new speakers are so powerful and loud that I have to keep the volume to a minimum
I can't believe Bose sold out to an inferior product and put their name on these.....
A cheaper product would probably break and have to be replaced within a year vs these Bose speakers will last many years plus they sound incredible!

Bass is obviously not as strong as with a subwoofer, but the best combo of base, mid, and treble I have heard on a stand-alone pair of multimedia speakers of this size.
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but the left speaker is significantly louder then the right speaker.
As of tonight, the left speaker isn't working at all, while the right speaker has to be turned all the way up to any shows/movies at normal speaking level
They get use for some music playback as well as for some gaming on my Xbox One X.
They could be a whole lot better with separate bass and treble controls as well as an on light.
My only real complaint is the 1/4" to 1/4" audio cable that connects the speakers to the output on your computer

Well, alternatively you can get an 2 channel amp and a pair of semi-decent shelf speakers and cables and etc
Great sound quality work great wish the aux was longer as far as the cable is concerned but these speakers are loud and crisp and you can definitely tell the difference when you compare regular speakers to these, don't let the size fool ya the quality from Bose is always top notch!

I think they could be louder but it captures a middle range well, with clear response for subtler high frequencies and a bit of thunder to push the sound and allow a certain amount of depth and range

On some devices the connection is excellent, on other devices the connection is poor even when other headsets and speakers connect fine .
In my case 3 feet won`t even cross over my two monitors
If i barely move the speaker while music is playing then it looses connection
Speakers arrived quickly, which was great (thanks, Amazon!) but the 3.5mm audio connectors were contaminated with some kind of sticky substance that prevented good connection - there was a lot of static in the audio, like a half plugged-in cable
These are impossible to repair (it doesn't help that there are no videos or guides online) and I find it immensely frustrating that a mostly functional product will have to be thrown away because of a loose connection.
Buzzing noise when watching television news or strictly dialog
The old $40 logitech speakers did way better than these guys without this annoying noise to deal with
The speakers are excellent, I am giving just three stars because the 3.5mm cable that came with it didn't work properly (Noise when movind the cable)
I needed to replace a CA computer speaker system with subwoofer after they started giving a humming noise which got progressively worse after a power outage
