Based on some reviews I read, which stated a different brand sounds as good as Bose, I tried a less expensive option ($100ish )

This might be smaller than you think, but it is very high quality and provides a very rich, base-rich, and quite powerful sound - as you might expect, it has that full, powerful surround sound that Bose is world renowned in providing by its products.

my experience suggests *bose* is struggling with product quality control issues.the product's aesthetics and sound were good.

The compact Bose SoundLink Revolve Bluetooth speaker, made in Mexico, is designed to link to additional SoundLink speakers with the Bose Connect app, and perform well in large spaces.

With the purchase of a relatively inexpensive ($20) plug-in transmitter, I can now listen to my iPod on this amazing Bose speaker

I think Bose might be riding their reputation and charging too much.

Disappointed Bose sound, i expected more of the rich base sound typical in Bose

The Bose is capable of NFC, but my iPhone 7 isn't (at least not with the current iOS, though that's supposed to change at some point).Music playback: Here, the Revolve is quite similar to the larger HEOS 1 (when you add the bluetooth/battery to that product for a total of about $300), with frequency response being very good at both high and low ends

Contacted Bose and their customer service was exceptional

I love Bose and I love their Bluetooth players.

I'm sure Bose is not exaggerating when they claim a 14 hour battery life.

I love bose and that is my go to for speaker related items

It has rich sound, not as rich as other Bose speakers, but admirable.

I love Bose and for this price for a anal unit I was disenchanted by how quick it loses sound quality of my phone is connected ad is not within 10 feet of unit

It finally did pair after much fiddling around with the speaker and the clunky slow Bose app

In my opinion the Bose is much better

But at the end of the day I paid a hefty Bose price premium for sound quality and this just not deliver.
