I chose that system because AirPlay is universal (for iPhone users) in that it can be activated from any app, has lossless audio, range limited only by your wifi network and ease for a guests to connect.

(I can highly recommend that stand as it works well and allows for adjusting the vertical height of the TV as well as allowing the user to rotate the TV through a fairly reasonable range so you can easily angle or point the TV in any direction you might need for a better viewing angle).

I have a few Amazon Echos that I love, but they're not the greatest range of sound

It's range and sound are fabulous and with the volume on full blast, there is music in every area of my house

[Update in October 2015: I recently set up a powerful wireless range extender in the room where I use this system, and the sync problems and some related playback issues disappeared, so they were probably a sign of a wireless dead zone to which the Bose was simply more sensitive than other devices used in the same room

For a tech Luddite like me, it was just amazing to hear that great, fat Bose sound, as well as be able to access the thousands of world-wide internet radio stations.

The radio is also great once I brought it home to try out

While the app has radio stations that seemingly work just fine to play music (even that has issues where the speakers routinly cut in and out routinely), it is a hopeless endavaor to stream my itunes library music over their app to my speakers

Great sound and internet radio which solves the poor of FM reception in our home, plus you can connect wirelessly to stream from your phone or computer

Until Bose can come up with a better way of connecting it's speakers to the Bose radio it

The only way it would work is to pretend it's not wireless and just use the audio jack

Sound is crystal clear, depth is amazing, but the bass could be handled in a better way

This way I have the flexibility of listening to my music throughout the apartment

I love the way they can be connected or separate, but have never been that happy with the sound

To summarise: Great concept, very good sound, crappy quality (in my case, anyway, the Portable went dead after only one month of giving me the above error messages :) - had to get a new board AND pay for

The compression techniques used on the internet and Bluetooth do degrade the sound quality, so this is probably the reason for the slightly less than stellar sound

The sound quality is great and it is easy to transport almost anywhere.

I rather have simpleness (like before) but sound quality

In summary, no setup issues whatsoever and great sound quality

We had no difficulty accessing our iTunes library, but due to a software flaw, the SoundTouch is unable to properly shuffle iTunes playlists.

Also, the secondary speaker has intermittent connectivity issues.

I decided for the price paid that I needed to return this very expensive, kind of unreliable speaker

The sound is pretty good, not as good as my old Bose speaker for the old iPod

This speaker is no good the buttons don't work won't even turn on unless it is plugged in and has just been more of a hassle since I got it

But the units have connectivity problems and the app doesnt always work well.

The unit works in concert with the SmartTouch app designed for smartphones and tablets.

The unit and the sound are great, but unfortunately, the app makes this, and the Soundtouch 10 that I own, pretty much unusable.

I really love the product, cant stop listening songs on my Bose.

But I do love this product and will be replacing it with a upgrade one

Great product, nice sound, sits elegantly on my shelf and takes up little space...just what I was looking for

Bose loves to taut itself as a company of innovation and a premium product and certainly in terms of audio that is the case, not so much with features of their products

Overall, this is a really nice compact system that offers the ability to link up to a variety of devices in order to stream music

However, since then I've realized that the app and remote for controlling the system are both extremely lacking

For the cost of this system, Bose is utterly unreposive and arrogant to customer needs to make their speakers function properly and their new Soundtouch app made a crappy system worse

This is a nice system but I found that the sound is too heavy on bass for my tastes

and then it's chaos - with speakers dropping out and the music speeding up and slowing down

Easy to set up, beautiful design, perfect music to enjoy, while painting art, dancing, working, etc

Just a few examples: it doesn't support Apple Music or Amazon Music.

as someone who loves music, I found it to be worth every penny

Finally a chance to play cd quality on great Bose speakers!

That means that at any time, Bose can decide your speaker doesn’t work anymore

It needs 30 seconds to turn on and constantly asks you to download the Bose app which does not work really well

With respect to sound, I love the sound quality that this unit puts out; nice clear tones and rich bass.

The highs stay sharp, the mids stay rich, and the bass packs a punch

Sure, compared to a typical table radio it sounds good, but the bass is funky and so are the upper human registers

Perhaps if one could adjust the treble setting on the Soundtouch to a lower level, or further boost the bass you might could get that sound

Bass is clean, bit certainly not comparable to a system with a sub-woofer
