This is a much better concept and product than I expected
I finally had to return it.3 stars for the ambitious concept heading in the right direction.
They won't replace your Jabra 65T or Bose Soundsports for the gym, or isolate you from the world at the end of your busy day like your Soundlinks or Sony
So as much as I loved the concept of open ear, I don't feel it's there yet and can't compete with the perfect-in-almost-every-way delivery that Bose QuietComfort gives, so I'll just accept the sound isolation sealed earphone experience for now.

For people without bluetooth in their cars and who don't want to be isolated by headphones/earbuds, these would be a great solution for that too
If you want to listen at home and get better stereo than a portable speaker without wearing headphones, or you want to be able to move around and use both hands while listening in stereo, this is a good solution
It’s not just a compromise, but is the perfect solution.
It's a fantastic solution to a real problem, even if it does look kind of goofy.
So, aside from the price that was a bit too pricey, I like the idea that this device can do all that without having to put anything in or cover my ears
While looking for another pair I stumbled on this “Companion” and absolutely liked the idea of not wearing something on my ears that normally were hurting from pressure after an hour of listening in over the ear headphones
I thought the weight would bother me as I have mild, chronic neck pain, but I’ve found with a slight shift most of the weight is on my shoulders
Might as well put your phone on speaker and tape it to your shoulder because other people can hear it just as clear as if you had done that.
I like the idea of nothing in/on my ears, but this thing just doesn't do it for me.
It really is the greatest product that you never knew existed and you will love this.
When considering the price I cannot recommend this product
so I was hoping that this would be a great product that would exactly fit my niche

but you just really need to appreciate a great product I recommend if you have the money for
The Bose Soundwear solved my problem quite nicely (although, it's not perfect).
I understand that Bose gets accused of being overpriced, but since this was a free product and I have lots of speakers and headphones already, I decided to give it a shot
I thought this Bose wearable speaker would be perfect and it is
I came across the peculiar Bose Soundwear Companion Speaker and thought I would give it a chance since I own and enjoy quite a few Bose products
So the BOSE Soundwear Companion works great for phone calls if you wear soft clothing and stay in a quiet environment

Sound quality is really good and the battery life last longer than I expected
I estimate to have used these for around 700-800+ hours and the battery life is still great and so is the sound
The battery life is great definitely no complain there, right now good for about 10
The battery life has been satisfactory and gives me a good 8 hours of play at medium low sound level
It'd also be nice if they could each be toggled on or off, so you could choose to get the battery info when you turn it on, but never have it beep when you lower the volume, or whatever you prefer
I use them in my car in lieu of my stereo and if there is a lot of road noise on rough pavement, then the volume is not loud enough.
There was one bug before I bought this, that made my iPod Touch blast full volume noise that'd hurt your ears until you hold down the power button to force it to power off
it’s simply amazing:* music quality is spectacular, not at good as say a pair of studio monitor headphones, but every bit Bose quality sound with no sacrifices, just amazing* call volume and clarity for me are spot on, I used to shoot machine guns for a
The sound is great (it's Bose, so that should be obvious) - it's clear, volume is good, etc
The best thing about this product is that my teenage son hates to wear earbuds or headphones; they hurt, feel claustrophobic, don’t sound right, you name the excuse, I’ve heard it
The only thing I don't like may not even be its fault, but I can't tell yetWhen a call comes in while I'm on Skype or
His favorite thing is the ability to listen to podcasts from his phone.
Here's the most amazing thing about the Bose Soundwear Companion, and I didn't understand about this unique quality before I purchased the Soundwear
Although at their highest volume they sound a good deal louder to you than to others, these things are still VERY loud to others, make no mistake about it
However, when walking in hot weather I found that my neck got sweaty and I became more aware of the speaker rather than less
If you wear a hoodie, or have good neck support in your chair or car seat back, this may not be an issue as you can lean back and let the cushion do the pushin, keeping them easily in place
and I would get a sore neck after an hour or so, not good enough for watching a ballgame or a movie.

Introducing the latest in a long line of groundbreaking, innovative products from Bose
The SoundWear Companion speaker is a wearable speaker that surrounds you with sound, so you can stay connected to your environment, access music and virtual assistants (like Siri and the Google Assistant) and take calls—all without having to take your phone out of your pocket
It’s packed with technologies that create a truly unique and immersive sound experience—surrounding you with clear, full sound—while limiting what others hear around you
With a comfortable and flexible design, it’s better sound you can wear at work, at home or on the go.Every part of this speaker is engineered to deliver clear, powerful sound and surprisingly deep bass
Digital signal processing and legendary waveguide technology pump out the kind of deep, rich sound other wearables don’t
Upward facing speakers point precisely toward your ears, maximizing what you hear, while minimizing what others hear.A three-button control makes it easy to make calls, play and pause tracks and access your phone’s Siri or the Google Assistant right from the speaker
An advanced microphone system ensures calls and your phone’s virtual assistant apps sound clear and intelligible even in windy and noisy environments
You can choose between vibration and out-loud alerts to notify you of incoming calls. And the speaker plays for up to 12 hours off a single charge (and a quick 15-minute charge delivers up to 3 hours of performance), so you can listen throughout your day
The SoundWear Companion speaker is flexible, durable and so comfortable you may forget you are wearing it
A bend-and-stay steel wire encased in medical grade silicone provides just the right amount of low-spring torsion to stay form-fitted to your shoulders throughout the day
The speaker is sweat and weather resistant (with an IPX4 rating) and comes with a four-way stretchable cover made to withstand dust and static
And the cover is acoustically transparent, so nothing gets between you and better sound
Additional speaker covers—available in Blue, Plum and Grey—are sold separately.
