but I lines this up next to another 8 gauge ground wire I had laying around, and this wire seemed kinda skinny with tons of insulation

It is important to have the proper gauge when running big amps

Does what it says just make sure you get large enough gauge to power your amp 8 gauge is on the smaller size

the cables feel and look heavy duty and of the proper gauge.

Still probably worth it for the kit, fuse holder and RCA cables work, maybe just go up a gauge from what's recommended.

The RCA cables are decent anough, the remote cable is small gauge but decent enough, and the plastic tubing is fine

The speaker wire can be ripped by hand, it's impossible to strip, and the power wire is more like 10 gauge trash wrapped in more cheap garbage

Plenty of Red wire but the black 8 gauge fell a little short

The primary cable is 14 gauge at best and the speaker leads are 18 gauge at best.

Power wire is a little thin only 8 gauge but works good on my l,100 watt boss amp powers my capacitor great

I would give a better rating if the wire was the correct gauge, it'd make the whole kit work together.
