BOSS Audio Systems KIT2 8 Gauge Amplifier Installation Wiring Kit - A Car Amplifier Wiring Kit Helps You Make Connections and Brings Power To Your Radio, Subwoofers and Speakers

    • Great wires, included black sleeve is very useful
    • but I lines this up next to another 8 gauge ground wire I had laying around, and this wire seemed kinda skinny with tons of insulation
    • RCA cables are very long and work fine, ground wire is fine, comes with all the right connections
    • not really impressed the wire is marked 8awg but more like 10-12awg speaker wire is marked 16awg but more like 18awg, audio cables are good
    • super tiny and speaker wires are like 16 or 18 gauge, which I did not use at all.
    • If you want the cheap wires then don't push your amp too hard
    • I went to a audio shop at my Location and they even specified that the wire was cheap ass wire and didn't have enough copper in it to hold a high current "600watts" they then hook me up and sent me on my way
    • Cheap fall apart wire
    • The RCA cables seem find and speaker wire are good as well as the remote wire..
    • Really cheap wire
    • is I noticed in a lot of their pictures and videos is that they don't have the split wire loom protecting their wires and so do the people that I've done stereos
    • Exposed wires break easy
    • The box I received was already opened, and I can see why it was returned after looking at the poor wimpy wires this kit uses.

    • This is not a solid copper wire.
    • No good buy a better quality wire.
    • Great wiring kit for the money
    • the main hot wire lost voltage from start to end???
    • My fault as I was in a rush and didn't carefully read reviews and answers, but +1 that this is far undersized wire.
    • The wire is easy to cut thru as you stripe off the insulation.
    • Pretty cheap wire
    • I feel like the internal wires are brittle
    • The remote wire is barely usable at all to be safe with 12v supplied
    • Noticed the cable for ground is too short it is not advertised 3' so I had to use the positive wire to extended, otherwise everything is as advertised.
    • The 600 watt amp is using this wire and works fine with no fuse issues
    • Cheap wires
    • The wire in this kit is very flexible(which is a good thing for routing around in your car).I used these kits to wire up a 600 watt BOSS amp and a 1200 watt BOSS amp
    • Worst wiring kit ever
    • Very good standard wire system..would buy again definitely
    • Cheaper wiring than a cheap schoshe kit from wally world bumped a wire against the floor and covering peeled back.
    • Good for what it is, a cheap wiring kit.
    • Very cheap wire
    • To bad I cut the wires, because this would have been a candidate for a return; instead it ended-up in a drawer of wires for random use.
    • I spend some time running all the wires through my vehicle to fine out the the 50
    • so I end up having wires showing in places I don’t like
    • But if the wire is not 8 gauge and the fuse is rated for 8 the wire will burn before the fuse
    • Caused me loads of frustration thinking it was a issue with the sub or a blown fuse somewhere just to find out the wire was bad.
    • Some wire ferrules for the in-line fuse would be nice as to not cut up the fine stranded power wire but for the money I can’t complain.
    • , BOSS should get a refund from their manufacturer if the wire is guaranteed, at least partial, especially cable that connects to a auto
    • Didn’t come with correct wire connectors to plug into my amp
    • Both the power and ground cables are trash they tend to come apart when bolted due to cheap wiring
    • wire is good,
    • Good wire
    • Good thick wires and strong connections
    • Very soft wiring for power wire and easily cut by firewall and could cause a fire if done wrong
    • Package was open and missing items remote wire and connectors
    • You can't beat the price, but not the highest quality of product, I would prefer thicker wiring and better fuses, as my first fuse fried in one day
    • shipping was fast, loved the wiring.
    • Right gauge wire for everything, nice quality
    • nice wire!
    • Spend a little more and get the right wiring kit

    • The wires are very poor and not as described
    • good quality wires and
    • Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a better wire kit.
    • Very nice wiring kit!
    • After the screw created the hole, it made it bigger than the screw threads so it wouldn't secure the ground wire.
    • Cheap wire not proper specs
    • but if you are looking into putting a high end system in your car then I suggest looking at better quality wires than this.
    • (they are only worth maybe $100 combined). So, if you have components worth more than a couple hundred dollars, you should buy a decent wiring kit, not this
    • The wire itself is cheap.
    • I'd suggest to buy better quality wire
    • Really nice wiring kit does the job every time!
    • It worked great on my Rockford fosgate P2D4 sub hooked up to my R500.1 amp This wire is good enough for a first system
    • The wire looks like its 20 gauge or smaller and its made out of aluminum
    • had it set up on my car only lasted 3 days in my car before the wires started to fall apart

    • Loved that wires were plenty long enough to run to rear of vehicle.
    • They fall into holder before actually securing the wire.
    • Great wires for any sub/amp
    • The power wire was so brittle when I tried tightening up the screws on amp the wire just kept breaking off same with ground wire very disappointed
    • Pretty good wire kit, def worth it
    • Great little wiring kit
    • Pretty good wire kit, def worth it
    • Wire seemed a bit smaller than other 8ga I have used, but worked great.
    • Remote wire is adequate I guess.
    • 3 days in the rca cables stopped working and the wire is cheap and doesn't like very much power.
    • The crimps are far bigger and with the fine wire didn’t hold for me.
    • Good quality wire, has evreytging you need for basic installation
    • Don't trust your expensive car audio equipment to inferior wiring!
    • Good wire pretty much what to expect the fuse it came with blew out wasn't strong enough to support my 4000 watt system
    • This one, the actual wire in the insulation looks more like a better brands 10 awg wire
    • I am pleased to report that there is enough speaker wire to manage an easy subwoofer install
    • I needed the wire to be pretty thick like 8
    • I feel like the wires are every thin
    • If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the ground wire (black) was about a foot short for my install, but I had plenty of red wire leftover from the run to the
    • Comes with more than enough wire for just about any application
    • Great wire kit
    • cheap aluminum fine strand wire with ton of insulation to make it look like a larger gauge.
    • Upset! ran wiring nice and clean went to tie into amp and
    • There are better brand out thereFor 3 more dollars you can get a much better car audio speaker kit wire
    • In my attached picture, you will see (left to right), true 8g power wire, true 10
    • Easy install, wires are a bit cheap
    • Past the return policy, and i have zero uses for an unknown gauge wire
    • The remote wire is fine because it is a standard low-watt signal wire
    • Do yourself a favor and get the proper wires etc. and skip this non
    • The speaker wire was missing an entire conductor...basically making it a remote wire
    • Overpriced wire not proper gauged.
    • Wire is garbage and the inline fuse is dangerous
    • Cheaper wiring than a cheap schoshe kit from wally world bumped a wire against the floor and covering peeled back.
    • The fuse good the positive wire good the ground wire good
    • but it should have one more ring connector for the thicker wires (power and ground).
    • Wire is way undersized.
    • I feel like the internal wires are brittle
    • The wire was easy to strip and was long enough to run to the backseat of the truck cab.
    • This is not a true 8AWG product, after running this I notice that this was not a 8AWG is more like a 11 gauge, I could of burn my interior car wires
    • Wire was undersized
    • The first issue I noticed was that the “4 gauge” power wire had very cheap wiring
    • the main hot wire lost voltage from start to end???
    • The wires I received are very nice
    • Don’t like the speaker wire or the connectors.
    • All aluminum wire, very undersized wire thats not actually US gauge sizes, fuse holders were already cracked in the package
    • The positive wire is cheaply made, because it has more rubber cover than copper conductor , it ended working for my needs since it was for a motorcycle ,
    • the fuse holder broke on install, and not enough wire ends for the 4 gauge wire, very disappointing, DO NOT BUY get better brand
    • Easy hook up car sounds wonderful but wire cord could have been longer
    • is I noticed in a lot of their pictures and videos is that they don't have the split wire loom protecting their wires and so do the people that I've done stereos
    • BOSS misrepresents their wire
    • This was not copper core, just copper coated, had a ton of insulation instead of the more expensive wiring inside, and certainly wasn’t 8 gauge.-Included
    • Good wiring kit would recommend to anyone.
    • The first thing is that the wires are very stiff and frustrating to work with
    • Update.3/15/21The remote wire broke somewhere in the chassis run today
    • Perfect length wires for crew cab pickups
    • Decent looking wires
    • Super durable and thick wires great for installing my subwoofer
    • It came with 6 feet of split wire loom which wasn't enough & was flimsy
    • Not the same as in picture thin speaker wire and some ugly bright purple rca wires that's gonna look like crap inside a car
    • The other reviews are right: This is NOT pure copper wire, and it is certainly NOT true 8 gauge
    • The wires are not the correct wire gauge as indicated, there is more wire insulation then there is actual wire
    • My slingshot needs manual start so hot wire needs fuse from dist
    • RCA cables are very long and work fine, ground wire is fine, comes with all the right connections
    • Good wire and insulation quality
    • and it's just enough wire period to run set up no room for error
    • There was enough power wire to run from the trunk just behind the right side passenger seat, under the passenger side door jams behind the front firewall to the drivers side out into the engine bay then back to the passenger side of the engine compartment where my batter is located.
    • Boss audio you ought to know better that wiring of that size will need a bigger fuse!
    • Seems like good quality wire and components.
    • Also be very careful because the remote wire is only like two or three strands of wire
    • Make sure you but a thick enough wire for your setup
    • The 3ft ground wire only measured 34”
    • The positive wire(while long enough) is not a true 8 gauge
    • If you're running a higher powered system, you need to source better wire, and certainly be more purposeful about which size fuse you install
    • This is a great cheap wiring kit
    • Definitely not the correct wiring for an amp on subs
    • The speaker wires will snap with the smallest amount of pressure, and the remote wire is very weak as well
    • The wires are not good, rotting, it's like I got a very old package, strip the

    • Works for my weak sub/amp combo at the moment, NOT true 8ga wire though.
    • Cheap wiring and could smell it burning
    • Read the bad "cheap" reviews but honestly think this is a great quality amp wire set, yes the gauge is a little smaller than advertised but it works perfectly fine for
    • And the wire was very skinny when stripped
    • I only completed one so far, and am seriously considering tearing all this stuff back out and throwing both kits in the trash and getting better wire.
    • The wires are not very good
    • Two wires broke at the solder joint while routing the wires
    • I’d recommend 8 gauge wiring for a single 10’’ woofer
    • Very good wire and comes with everything you need, only complaint is that I’m by a huge fan of the what th fuse is designed in its plastic housing.
    • The wire frays and falls apart really easy
    • This extremely fine wire was also brittle and easily damaged when twisting or inserting into terminals
    • Oh, and the wire is very stiff.
    • This kit receives one star for poor value and undersized battery/ground wire

    • It was also hard to strip for connections, however the wire stripper I had only went to 10ga stranded wire or 8ga solid wire
    • The real wire looks more like a 12 or 14 gauge wire
    • Used this wiring before and it works great.
    • so I had to go buy the correct 8 gauge wire
    • Great wiring kit and great price!!!
    • Got this 3 months ago and it’s been a solid wiring kit

    • **DO NOT BUY THIS KIT****Horrible quality wiring kit
    • The wire pretty much falls apart just by twisting it
    • Also speaker wire has no good markings to show negative wire
    • The insulation was the correct size as a normal 8 gauge wire but the wire itself was like maybe 10 or 12 gauge
    • n’t work in the fuse doesn’t work but besides that everything else works the ground wire
    • This extremely fine wire was also brittle and easily damaged when twisting or inserting into terminals
    • It’s nice to have the proper wiring for a car stereo system

    • , it is convenient, has all the parts that you need, affordably priced and all the wires are nice and long
    • I could shake the wire to make the amp turn on or off
    • I know there was one dude here that said that he had to break the glass to see if it was a fuse he didn't have any split wire loom on his wires his heated up and melted so if you don't use the product correctly then obviously things are going to fall
    • Very good wire and comes with everything you need, only complaint is that I’m by a huge fan of the what th fuse is designed in its plastic housing.

    • All the wires were plenty long enough and it came with all the terminals and accessories needed to complete the install.
    • Cheap speaker wire they include and not to mention the rca plugs as well
    • My only complaint is the split wire loom is barely big enough for the power wire
    • If you attempted to use this for the amperage that a regular 8 gauge kit can supply you would overheat the wires and at the least cause more power drawl at the fuse location due to the higher resistance.
