Reviews around rv (5.00 of 5)

  • Compared to the RV-5, most of the same reverb styles are available - including the popular modulated reverb mode which helped give the RV-5 such lasting appeal - but they removed the gated reverb and added "Dynamic", "Shimmer", and "Reverb + Delay".
  • My Hardwire RV-7 excels at this, but I thought the RV-6 did a great job as well
  • Especially considering that super-cheaper reverb pedals of any quality are usually pretty bad, or still around $100, so the RV-6 might be worth a look for just a bit more money.

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • I discovered you can use the 'wet channel' (plug in the Input B and Output A) to record whatever you like with no presence of the dry sound
  • That being said, it isn't always easy to capture the metallic response of the spring as you hit strings more aggressively with a digital spring reverb, but I thoguht the RV-6 did a great job with it

Reviews around immerse (5.00 of 5)

  • Perhaps in large venues or at greater volumes the Immerse would prevail but for home recording and small room playing I prefer the RV6
  • Professionals or studio hobbyist will probably prefer the Immerse, but then again, those same folks probably have 3 - 4 reverb pedals to choose from already :)

Reviews around good (5.00 of 5)

  • The seller was super prompt with shipping as well.
  • The Shimmer reverb is so trippy and so atmospheric that it works out like a synthesizer as well

Reviews around unit (5.00 of 5)

  • Boss pedals are pretty much bullet proof anyway but this unit is even better than all the other Boss pedals I have.
  • The BOSS RV-6 is just a solid unit considering that it retails for $150.00.

Reviews around feature (5.00 of 5)

  • This "reverb plus delay" mode is a cool feature that harkens back to the BOSS RV-3 Digital Reverb/Delay pedal.
  • SHIMMER - Shimmer is sort of the newer popular feature that so many reverb and delay pedals are scrambling to add (TC Electronic just added it to their Hall of Fame Reverb 2).

Reviews around effect (2.82 of 5)

  • The settings are versatile, and although the shimmer effect is my least favorite in terms of practicality for bass, I was still able to get a pleasant sound that transferred well to the bass frequency
  • It COULD be used as a neat effect - if that is what you're after
  • I like my effects to be able to get into the unuseable range as the knob approaches max
  • The settings are versatile, and although the shimmer effect is my least favorite in terms of practicality for bass, I was still able to get a pleasant sound that transferred well to the bass frequency
  • It's really a beautiful effect, and a nice addition to the options found on this and other reverb
