Bostitch No-Jam Booklet Stapler, Black (B440SB)
A classic looking yet feature packed stapler. Our innovative No-Jam technology has been incorporated into this stapler to put an end to frustrating staple jams. It superior design and construction allow it to staple up to 20 sheets with ease. For add...
The more common (long, flat) long reach staplers are trickier to use, since the adjustment guide does not do a good job of staying in place (it can slide easily), thus causing the item to not be stapled in the crease where it's folded.
We use a premium stapler-they do a better job because the booklet cover is a card stock (110 lbs) thickness.
I bought this to staple some doodle coloring books I wanted to print and sell, did a great job
it does the job -- worthwhile if you do booklets and so on.
Not only is it easy to use, but placing the fold of the paper over the angle of the stapler automatically places the staple in the correct place

Be sure to line up the edges with the edges of the stapler to get perfectly placed binding!
I always wondered how booklets staples are so perfectly placed.

I contacted Bostitch to assure I was using correct staples and I was.
Independent comic publisher, love this thing, saves me time and mistakes and a way better deal on amazon than anywhere else.

And while these other kinds work (and can staple booklets using over-sized sheets of paper), they are not as easy to use, because they do not help hold the pages where they need to be, so it's a challenge to get the staples perfectly lined up with the fold in the pages
I followed another reviewers advice and used the kinds of staples recommended (mine are Stanley Bostich Brand, Model SBS191/4CP) and they have worked great.
I used a hammer fist on it, firm and quick, and this works 80% of the time
It seems to be a good sturdy, hard working stapler.
I was intrigued by the shape of this and maybe a bit hesitant at first, but is works beautifully and give perfect results every time!
