My belief is that the B&W's depend quite a bit on passive noise attenuation (with active noise cancelling maybe accounting for 30-40%) -- which explains all the complaints about the earcup seal and clamping force for this headset since combined this would ensure physical sound isolation.
-
They have pretty solid passive noise cancelling just by the nature of their build, I haven't really felt the need to use ANC either in the office
-
Lastly, it doesn’t really suppress much noise
-
Well one reason is they help limit noise from leaking out of the headphone as well as preventing noise from coming in
-
Both these and Bose are really only going to cut repetitive white noise and low-end frequencies
-
but if you're into audio you will probably want more from your headphones.- Comfort 5/5- Sound quality 3/5- Looks 3/5- Noise
-
I'm sure the Bose has a little better noise cancelling
-
Not put the noise cancellation into test yet but over ear design cuts out normal background noise well.
-
They aren't as transparent as the AKG K702 headphones that I use at home, but they are the best sounding noise canceling headphones that I've heard.
-
Even without the ANC on, they isolate noise very well, and their sound quality is better than anything I've listened to before.
-
Buy the Sennheiser HD1 and delight in spectacular sound quality with good noise cancellation
-
to mid-range- Nice app to control the noise cancelling which works
-
Pros:+ gorgeous sleek design+ amazing sound quality with deep base and good mids and highs+ good customisable noise cancellation+ handy auto pause/resume feature+ convenient control buttons
-
Awesome headphones, excellent noise cancelling when you need it.
-
The very best noise canceling headphones I ever used would adjust all the sounds around that noise, and then, deliver the music without the noise.
-
Noise cancelling; for me, unnecessary and not a deal breaker if the headphones don't have it
-

But of all the headphones I tried it was certainly the best noise canceling

LG and Sony earbuds that have passive noise cancelling that I use when I run outdoors so the Pro 2's are relieved of outdoor duty too
-
The 1000XM2's were as comfortable as my old 1000X's and they sounded the same (excellent noise cancelling and good sound quality).
-
Passive noise reduction is "pretty good
-
they're the best wireless noise cancelling headphones you can get
-
Heavy headphones and the sound just wasn't what I was looking for--it just wasn't "expansive like the B&O beoplay headphones; although the noise cancelling feature is better than the B&Os, so there's that to consider; however, the sound quality in noise cancelling mode isn't as good as the B&O Beoplays, so that's an issue too.
-
(the B&O are a little too loose
-
I tested them for several weeks with a range of music from contemporary jazz (Gregory Porter, Carmen Lundy), metal (Metallica, Type O Negative), shoegaze (My Bloody Valentine), post-punk (XTC), etc.
-
I felt that the high was not as clear as I
-
I don’t want to suggest it was boring, just not as good as the 550’s or PX’s
-
Love the PX’s for day at work
