It seems these days that many small appliances are built to break down and need replacing, and that was true of our last counter top oven
It's our absolute FAVORITE appliance in the whole house.
This expensive appliance should have at least lasted 10 years
So if say you have a towel, or plate, or cutting board or really anything on the counter in front of it it will slam closed on your hand burning you as you reach in for your toast
This has been the most cost-worthy appliance I have purchased in years
A removable front loading crumb tray makes interior clean up easy.
Aluminum Coupe Style Pizza Tray Pizza Pan, 12-Inch

Cheap product and the trays don't even fit in the oven.
I have had no trouble with anything smoking as I keep the tray clean from crumb build up
it has better features and we like it much better than the old one

So in order to supplement that poor feature, I just ordered another regular toaster, just for bread.
Multiple sources that test and rate toaster ovens said Breville was the best but warned that the ovens were large and I worried that the features were overkill; Breville also had a LOT of models which led to a lot of waffling on my part.
Each unit tripped an arc-fault breaker (not the same as a GFCI breaker, which it did not trip).
Earlier units lasted 3-4 minutes before tripping the arc-fault breaker.
Baked items are equally as good as if there were in a normal sized oven
The top gets very warm to hot as there is little or no insulation
It's not quite as shiny as when we bought it, but probably because we don't really give it the scrubbing it deserves; we just clean out the tray at the bottom and wash the glass every now and then.
Buying a pizza pan would prevent this but there are other ovens that make the rack with a curved back to avoid this problem

Works as it should.

The rack warps seriously when placed at the broiling level and makes uniform cooking impossible.
(One brand didn't cook evenly, another had an element burn out,, another was so short it was nearly impossible to pull food out of without getting burned & the rack didn't slide out easily
Yesterday, the included broiler pan warped in the oven and arked

Must be an electricity savings somewhere here as well as it's so efficient.

They give you a nice porcelain broiler pan instead of an aluminum one.
It looks like I am part of the other customers thant end up with E01 error after it has been unused for a small wire
I bought this almost a year ago and just got the E01 error!
Within a month he has already observed the E01 error code
The second morning I had the 650 oven, I turned on my coffee grinder, and the toaster oven (which was off) beeped a few times and showed the E01 error code.
Within a week I started getting the same E01 error message on the new oven
