I was skeptical that a little rattle could really keep a baby happy what with the dirth of new shiny modern toys but some things are classic for a reason.

Great first toy as it’s light and easy to hold

Babies from 3.5 months-10 months love shaking this toy, and it is easy for the little ones to grasp because of the two thin handles

This toy is great in that my baby can actually get her small fingers to grasp the middles section of this toy

and I thought if the rims of the clear balls were more rubber or silicone-like (with appropriate baby materials, of course), this would be an EXCELLENT toy.

This was the first toy he could grab onto easily at a few months old and it's still his favorite toy that he picks out of the box.

If you're new to the whole baby thing, remember that rattles are really only for newborns and that by about 6 months babies lose interest in them, so if you're perhaps gifting for a friend don't buy this for a baby older than 6 months (honestly, I wouldn't buy a rattle as a toy for a baby that's over 3 months - they can already play with more interesting things than basic rattles by that age)
