Reviews around life (5.00 of 5)

  • Super battery life, large pixels and HDR modes for challenging situations
  • I've been looking for some type of TL gear that is not too expensive to leave outdoors, as well as having good battery life (over one month with proper settings) and be able to inter-change lenses
  • With its built-in LCD, easy to navigate menu, adult sized buttons, incredible battery life, changeable lenses and unique HDR recording capabilities I consider it the "best of breed" and it is now my camera of choice for any time-lapse situation
  • They could probably engineer it to get far better battery life if they wanted to, but it's acceptable for a cheap consumer device
  • However, the stitched videos come out surprising crisp - and with very good battery life

Reviews around price (5.00 of 5)

  • Great price on holiday sale, plus it sets up so very easily with no fuss and great results
  • I still find paging through the many setup options clumsy with only three buttons, but I am very happy that there are a lot of options - the company has provided a pro grade product at a good price.
  • Brinno offers an easy, practical way to make time lapse photography with many options at an affordable price

Reviews around angle (5.00 of 5)

  • Quality of pics is not as good as on ads clips, but still very good
  • Somebody could say, I can do Time Lapse videos with my powerful Iphone or Samsung, mmmh maybe not, this little machine has a good HDR, good angle (it means it covers more area than your smartphone) and the low-light scenes are very well managed by this camera
  • I would like a smaller angle of view for my outdoor recordings, but a different lens will not fit into the weatherproof case (as far as I can find, there's no weatherproof case to fit with a different lens).

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • great job doing timelapse for construction - batteries last about a month, easy to use;only 4/5 because it is still only 720p (should be able to do 4k by now)

Reviews around thing (4.56 of 5)

  • What I really liked about the PRO200 is the ability to get a WiFi connection and upload automatically to my computer, also the ability to video on a set schedule, those two things make this camera a winner if you need to focus on specific images, like myself
  • The other awesome thing is unlike a GoPro or other non-purpose-built units, the time lapse in this unit is automatic.
  • I really wanted to like this thing, but the quality is so poor that I'm switching back to my GoPro solution and manually building time lapse videos from still images.
  • Seriously, this thing makes time lapse as easy as taking a snap shot.
  • Worse thing - no manual ISO setting

Reviews around product (4.21 of 5)

  • I would not recommend this product at all
  • Just overall a very bad product for outdoor time lapse
  • However overall, this is a great product that makes the time lapse photographing becomes a job that everybody can do it.
  • Excellent product so far, can't beat the price and value for a self contained device like this
  • I don't think there are too many competitors in the marketplace, but the reality is that this is not a solid / professional product.

  • great job doing timelapse for construction - batteries last about a month, easy to use;only 4/5 because it is still only 720p (should be able to do 4k by now)
  • Some operations, especially switching into ready mode or ending a timelapse can at times be very slow leading you to wonder if you hit the button
  • First time bought, used this Brinno pro hdr, easy create timelapse useless energy 4 AAs, need no computer like others.
  • Quality of pics is not as good as on ads clips, but still very good

  • For example, more detail on how the HDR and scene modes actually operate, what impact they have on battery life and how the various manual exposure controls work.
  • However, the stitched videos come out surprising crisp - and with very good battery life

Reviews around video (3.92 of 5)

  • Put simply, the camera just produces ugly video
  • good time lap camera the only problem in this cam you can not see what you record or delete unwanted video
  • Hello all, after reading the few available reviews and a few youtube videos I ordered the camera (PRO HDR) as soon as it was available
  • it may well take nice videos, but without proper date/time coding, they would be useless to me.
  • In the meantime I was able to get the unit to work - it does take good photos, at 720p resolution, and it does convert them into very workable video files.

Reviews around lens (3.75 of 5)

  • I'd gladly pay more for a higher quality sensor (at least 5MP - this one is like 1.3MP) and a crisper lens
  • My wish list would also include blue tooth or WiFi to connect and run an app... that coupled with a better sensor and lens and this would be a real gem...
  • I bought an Eye-Fi x2 16gb which work great together.- Cheaper lens
  • However their longer lens is not easy to install or focus for that fact
  • Also, the wider angle view with the default included lens is another welcome improvement

Reviews around quality (3.40 of 5)

  • The camera is wonderful for capturing events with outstanding quality even in low light conditions.
  • Images are nice quality but can be blurry at a slow shutter speed.
  • I really wanted to like this thing, but the quality is so poor that I'm switching back to my GoPro solution and manually building time lapse videos from still images.
  • Quality of pics is not as good as on ads clips, but still very good
  • While time is a small price to pay for such great quality, it's still a factor for some who just want to get it on Facebook

Reviews around screen (1.95 of 5)

  • lose the annoying screen, and cheesy menus that bump you out to 'confirm' the
  • You have to turn the lens while looking at the very tiny, very grainy screen
  • the 4AA batteries in the camera last an extremely long time as there is no power hogging unnecessary features just a clear (if a little small) screen and easy to follow options and lots of auto settings for "set and forget" action

Reviews around time lapse (1.22 of 5)

  • It has allowed me to get more into the art of time lapse.
  • Quality of pics is not as good as on ads clips, but still very good
  • In my long career as a landscape and nature photographer/videographer, the new Brinno TLC200 PRO is the best standalone time-lapse camera I have ever used
  • A simple time lapse camera that does everything for me.
  • This is a great little powerhouse of a time lapse camera.
