The quality and color of the LED light is comparable with the halogen.

While I waited for the parts, I had to get another hood because of dim light above the stove.

There were just 2 or 3 screws to remove the vent hood cover, then we put the new lamp socket assembly right in.

and I was resigned to probably replacing the entire vent hood.
