This ADS-3000n improves upon one of the 2000/2000e's virtues, ties with another, and loses against the third
(FYI, I reviewed both the ADS-2000 and ADS-2000e and gave each 5 stars; I still lean toward the ADS-2000, though, because it's $80 cheaper than the essentially identical ADS-2000e.)So while I love this ADS-3000n, I find the networking capability and higher cycle count not worth the premium paid to get them

So if portability is important I would urge the prospective buyer to think about the ADS-2000 or ADS-2000e

However, with the volume and speed it's going for, I don't think wireless is a good option, and the hard wire makes perfect sense, so I wouldn't hold that as a count against it.1

I was looking for a durable network scanner with a decent size ADF and fast scan speed to scan directly to an SFTP fileserver.

And my MFP is less than half as fast at scanning (and even slower for double-sided).It comes with some software: "Bundled with a valuable software suite"
If you are connected through the network, you need to place the documents in the document holder, go to the computer you want to scan to, and then push the appropriate software button to say what type of document you want to scan.
The software is atrocious
