Excellent clear characters and the colors on regular paper are bright and close to perfect.
Uses more ink than expected and the colors are not as vibrant as expected but it prints 11X17 Ledger size

Overall, I think this is an excellent feature-rich printer
The printed copy may be highlighted with very little smearing - a good feature for our office as we print and sometimes need to highlight after printing.
The wireless is a nice feature but still cannot print form phones or touch pads

Compared to older HP 8600 pro officejet printer this Brother is so much quieter and faster
Brother recommended checking for firmware updates... easy to do, and quick to accomplish by following their instructions

The setup instructions and needed accessories (ink and cables) were at the top of the box where they should be, and in general, the setup was straightforward
Setup is pretty straightforward, but I had a problem with the Brother software install on my first computer

Love the double sided print and scan as well as the 11x17 flatbed for larger items.
The print and scan quality is fine, but the difficulty in setting it up and printing something as simple as an envelope make this printer more of a hassle than any i've used in recent memory.
