Although when the label prints out there is extra paper on both sides you need to cut it manually to size, it is still a great product.

But I paid less than $12 for this unit and, even with the wasted tape issue, it is a very good product at a fantastic price

The product is really durable like rock , years of use and still works like charm

The self label cutter is a great feature,no scissors needed

Also Brother has developed tapes for labeling cables, ironing on clothing, labeling non-smooth surfaces, not to mention many different color choices and you can find them at reasonable prices on Amazon

Finally I am writing this when the price listed is $19.99 that is a great price compared to the usual price you can find this item for which I typically see around the $30 mark

I liked this unit when it worked.

This labeler was reccommended by Martha Stewart and I love it

I do agree with other reviewers that the labeler is not very easy to figure out how to work without referring to the directions

I love my labeler and have had it for almost 10 years now

So easy to use, so many designs

My main gripe would be that it wastes an awful lot of tape on the front side of your label (the part that feeds prior to the printed area)--seems like it was probably designed that way to keep their profit margin strong

The design is much nicer so not as ugly to have sitting around the office or wherever you keep it

So I recommend this device to my friends and family who wanna make their lives easier.

It's probably a good device - if you can make it through the instructions and learn how use it.

This product is a very well made item, I would have given it a perfect score, except that this machine can be a little dificult to use

Overall, this item is very good for keeping my things well-organized, and I'm happy w/ it.

I love labeling everything in my home, but the ptouch is not intuitive.

Works well and you get cheaper labels from Uline if you go through them quickly.

It creates really nice labels in a snap and is very easy to use.

The tapes themselves are durable and stick well, but don't leave a mess if you do need to remove them at some point

If I wanna label more things cheaply, I can label my things with pens and paper, so this is a good opportunity to practice my handwriting, especially in cursive because cursive is more natural and it's also a good and valuable skill for me to have.- Finally, it will be better if Brother has the tapes available in more colors (up to 1/2 in wide), such as blue on white (curretly available in 3/4 in wide but not 1/2 in wide or narrower), green on white, lime green on black, magenta on white, purple on white, etc

Seeing how expensive the tape is that was a major problem

Tape is expensive, of course,and it does waste too much.

The blank tape is expensive though I don't know a better alternative
