I have had nothing but good reports on my audio and transmission quality, range is great, and when tested I am actually getting a bit more power than rated, 28W.As with all the BTECH radios, programming is a bit fidgety, but it has a good deal of options and functions built in.

I was hoping for a budget radio to give me better range than my hand held radios.

Both the microphone clip and radio mount are metal, and the radio mount offers a decent pitch range, along with the option to mount the radio from the top (to the bottom of something, IE to your car's ceiling, instead of the dash)

Having 5x the power of a handheld is obviously going to improve your range and clarity.

Range, sound and operation are great

I have been through every setting in the radio as well as through the programming cable in CHIRP and cannot fix it
