    • If you ever have any issue, email BaoFeng tech support, Katy Johnson helped me with connection issue, she replied to my email almost immediately and stayed in communication until the problem resolved
    • There's a detente beyond what you might think is a solid connection, so beware of this if you experience a connection issue
    • Initially I had difficulty connecting to the radio via chirp, however once I realized it was a physical connection issue and held the connector firmly against the radio during programming, everything worked fine
    • In case of connection issue at first use you might want to check Windows Device Manager where you can find if the FTDI is the USB chip manufacturer
    • This replaces a knock-off cable that mostly worked but sometimes had connection issues.
    • I bought another cheap-o cable before and that did not work at all
