I owned the regular carafe version of this for about 3 years before the infamous brittle plastic leak of the water intake occured.

I like the Bunn product; however the stainless steel pot leaks from the top seal

We bought another Bunn since our last one of many years started leaking, and losing temperature, only to find the build up of hard water is what forced its demise.

Called Bunn customer service and received a new "no leak" carafe free of charge.

Yes the old design had some issues like a terrible carafe spout and eventually tank leaking just before it died

A small irregular leak started about 10 days ago

It's leaking out the top and doesn't keep the water as hot as it should anymore.

My husband actually burnt himself as it poured all over him.

I've never been able to make coffee as good as with the Bunn with any other coffee maker.

I do however recommend purchasing the plastic pitcher as it is easier when filling the machine.

It comes out very hot, but not as hot as when you use a percolator
