It's possible that it may work for some of the people who have purchased it, but for a few bucks more, I would recommend purchasing a main brand like Netgear, especially if intending to use this Switch in tandem with a Netgear Wireless Router.

As soon as I would disconnect the BV-Tech Switch and bring the Netgear router back into direct connection with the Modem, everything would work fine again.

The Fan noise is tolerable, but there is much better and quiet fan available.
