You may need another computer to connect to get the proper drivers and you may have to spend hours finding out what to do.

There is a 1.13.0 driver available from here: http://www.asix.com.tw/products.php?op=pItemdetail&PItemID=131;71;112With this driver version, I no longer have the drop-outs under load.

However, the chipset manufacturer, ASIX, provides a WHQL-approved driver consisting of only the driver and an INF file

Product description says it is compatible with Chrome OS, however there is no driver available on the installation disk or their website, so it is NOT compatible with Chrome OS

I dont have an CD drive in my Yoga Pro 2 but when I plugged it in, windows got all the correct drivers instantly and it works just fine

Don't waste your time with a company that won't provide compatible drivers (preferably on CD) and proper instructions for buyer to use.

Plugging it into my 2013 MacBook Air resulted in basically nothing happening, downloaded the proper drivers for it, rebooted and it popped up

The only drawback is the requirement to have a driver disc for it to work.

ON the surface this seems like a good hub but what I found was that for me, using it on Windows 8.1 Surface Pro 3, it required an obscure driver, and that driver (ax88179_178a.sys) was responsible for crashes/blue screen, at the rate of about one a week.

There isn't much to say: I installed the driver, plugged it in, and it works exactly as advertised on my MacBook Retina.

Initially I suspected it was a driver issue and went through the motions to install the appropriate drivers, but still it didn't work
