You must use a very thick pot holder to safely move the pot after the water has boiled.

I don't think I will be able to hear it in another room, but I don't leave the kitchen when I have stove on anymore after I burned a pot...

It did not even take that much longer to heat up on medium, as the directions specify, than my old stainless steel pot did on high
