It is just like having a resturant grill in my own back yard

The instructions do recommend seasoning the grill first, which isn't that big of a deal and easy to do

I wore out my first Camp Chef stove by the way, as well as the grill

Overall, it is a great grill and I wish I had bought it sooner for him.

Good heat distribution...make sure you go no higher than medium heat and let it come up to temperature before cooking.

Very good heat distribution, the high sides makes it a lot more convenient to cook on and the drip trough works great (although the hole needs to be a bit larger so as not to clog up so easily).

For faster and more direct heat from the burners, I also removed the two burner covers and stored them away since there is no worry about grease dripping down onto the gas burners.

These are great flat top grills, great design and easy to use

Great heavy duty flat top, works so well with the camp stove I bought as well (camp chef explorer series 2 burner), it's nice to be able to cook different items at the same time with this!

Camp Chef is the best thing that ever happened to your day in the park, back year cook out, and camping

Good thing is we can still use the other burner to heat up water or any other food we need to cook or boil.

The best thing to happen to my campsite or back porch since the actual Explorer 60 double burner setup.

There is hot spots though making it hard to cook food evenly.

I noticed some hot spots but overall heat distribution is not bad

Gives way more room to cook then a traditional cast iron pan.

My caution to you is, if you have Cast Iron Pans, you will know what I'm stating, this is NOT SEASONED, you will need to season it as you would any of your cast iron pans

Basically, you treat it like a huge cast iron pan that lets grease drain away from your food.

I ended up ditching it for a frying pan that is lighter and gets hot quicker.

I fed a group of 10 with this and a large frying pan in no time
