Canary Flex Indoor Outdoor HD Security Camera, Weatherproof, Wire-Free or Plug in, Works with Alexa

    • That tells me they have zero confidence in their motion detection algorithm and are afraid of false alarms.
    • All of our alerts so far have been bright lights shining in our front door into the camera late at night, but even though they have been false alarms it is reassuring to know it is working.
    • The alarm is loud, camera is pretty good quality, night vision is great, and set up is extremely simple
    • The alarm is very loud, and I love that Canary also keeps on eye on the air quality and temperature.
    • And of course the audible alarm is a great feature!
    • Canary allows us to keep an eye on our pets throughout the day, monitor when our teenage children get home from school, as well as offering the peace of mind of knowing that our house has the protection of motion activated recording and the audible alarm
    • The Flex units give many false alarms.
    • Had ADT and was sick of false alarms and monthly fees.
    • Works great, you do get a lot of false alarms if you have a pet and a moving fan and doesn't seem that the software really learns, other than that it's a pretty solid device and $99 per year is reasonable for the cloud recording.
    • No more false alarms to the police department as I control when the police gets called..
    • At first the Canary notified me all of the time, but, as it trained itself of my comings and goings it now false alarms NEVER
    • side benefit it will work as a burglar alarm.
    • The alarm is very loud, and I love that Canary also keeps on eye on the air quality and temperature.
    • Great alarm system and the two way communication is brilliant
    • Early on there were a fair number of false alarms due lightning or shadows moving, but the app seems to be learning to recognize these and eliminate the false alarms.
    • Camera quality is great, the app is great, the alarm is super loud, and it's way smaller than expected
    • If Canary Flex supported the software "masking" feature that their other cameras have, then I would have far fewer false alarms of the bush in front of my condo swaying in the wind
    • Very easy to install and operate and loaded with awesome features like night vision, zoom lens, air quality monitor and (very loud) alarm.
    • If you want a constant stream of false alarm notifications on your phone OR if you want a security camera that completely misses most action (how did it not see me pulling out of my garage when my car needs to drive COMPLETELY ACROSS THE FIELD OF VIEW?!?!
    • If necessary, I can call the local police directly, sound an alarm (remarkably loud alarm!
    • The alarm is not quite as loud as I would like it to be, but it will still let someone know that they've been spotted
    • It's smarter now so it doesn't send notifications about these false alarms, but still records unseen movement for a bit when I'm away
    • It is their most expensive model and doesn't have the most basic feature that keeps out false alarms (masking)
    • If Canary Flex supported the software "masking" feature that their other cameras have, then I would have far fewer false alarms of the bush in front of my condo swaying in the wind
    • NOW - I still receive VERY short videos with the notifications, but can only see the thumbnail of what caused the alarm, not enough to see the actual action (what happened before, during and after the snapshot).
    • just an update scares me as well, as who knows what functionality will taken away next?Sad to say
    • The WIFI aspect of the unit does not work, and after several hours on WIFI the unit goes offline...therefore I have to keep it plugged into Ethernet, so I am limited as to where I can place the device
    • The app works as it should with about a 5-second delay, granted the internet can be spotty at my work (which is weird because it's a tech incubator)
    • My review will reflect countless other reviews, the Canary corporation performed a bait and switch, initially promising great home security, now charging the price of the device per year for what was included as a basic free for life feature.
    • but it's still not recording my motion as well as before
    • Dishonest company; Buyer beware as they may be going under very soon
