I was a happy customer for almost two years and considered giving them a 5 star rating until they recently changed their policy and moved almost all of the features behind a subscription firewall...now the cameras are useless paperweights and will be difficult to sell.

Aside from this, the camera has a pretty sizable lag between event notification, "live" viewing, and the ever changing interface and features make this a less than desirable paperweight at this point

The WIFI aspect of the unit does not work, and after several hours on WIFI the unit goes offline...therefore I have to keep it plugged into Ethernet, so I am limited as to where I can place the device

The app works as it should with about a 5-second delay, granted the internet can be spotty at my work (which is weird because it's a tech incubator)

My review will reflect countless other reviews, the Canary corporation performed a bait and switch, initially promising great home security, now charging the price of the device per year for what was included as a basic free for life feature.
