• Reviews around angle (3.82 of 5)

    Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Lens

    • Nice, simple, wide-angle.
    • Being fairly new to videography and photography, I needed a good, affordable wide angle lens
    • It gives a decent wide angle perspective for those who like the idea faster lens than the stock and need a wider field of view than offered by the nifty 50
    • Great wide angle lens, I use it all the time in tight spaces like indoors
    • The images I get are sharp, and the 24mm gives me a nice wider angle
    • It’s not wide enough to be used for architecture/real estate though, for that I would suggest an ultra-wide angle lens like the 10-18mm (which I also have a review for).3
    • I had the 50mm and didn't have enough wide angle.
    • Its angle of view isn’t as large as I would like, and the lack of a zoom destroys any ability to “crop” the scene with the lens; however, it is a good angle of view, is very sharp, very fast, and a pleasure to use on the camera
    • It performs great a s a walk around lens as well, though you dont have a zoom range like on a traditional walk around lens it gives great wide angle shots as well as close ups second to none
    • This little lens does a great job; takes sharp wide angle/landscape/skyscapes as well as portraits and macros with the MOST soft/pretty backgrounds EVER!!!
    • Excellent quality, well build, small, weightless, good open angle, great for backpacking and outdoors adventures where a big and bulky lens are bothersome to carry around.

    • Perfect wide angle.
    • If only there were cheap wider angle EF-S lenses
    • Also the cheapest Canon wide angle option.
    • probably makes a difference :-o)Anyway, if you want a cheap wide angle, get this lens
    • Nice, natural wide angle for shooting pictures of my family and friends.
    • Though it is a prime lens and I'd have to use my legs as my zoom, it can take decent wide angle shots and if you get close enough, it can take some near-macro shots as well.
    • Great wide angle lens
    • I take it wherever I go - its nice to have a quick AF wide-angle indoor that's not super expensive.
    • I enjoyed using it for walk-around photography, takes a decent wide angle shot, does well in low light settings, very quiet for taking videos, and pretty quick on auto focus.
    • The wide angle is fabulous
    • Excellent little guy to go on hikes with, for a prime it has a nice wide angle to it without being too crazy
    • This wide angle, relatively inexpensive lens is perfect!
    • " this is a sweeter wider angle!
    • Despite the crop factor on the BMPCC (which makes the effective focal length of this lens a 69mm) it's a sharp lens when your scene is well lit and is a great little wide angle prime for short money.
    • This is great because it allows you to take great macro photographs, and photographs with interesting and fun angles and perspectives, but when you’re taking pictures of people this can be a real problem.
    • The photos are all very blurry even in auto non-flash and the edges aren't crisp.. really disappointed as I really really wanted to like product and after testing two they didn't meet expectation.
    • I use this lens the most along with my nifty fifty (of course).I use this lens for portraits as well as for shooting around the city.definitely happy I bought this.
    • Great for general purpose shooting, as well as for selfies when you hold your camera at arm’s length.
    • Like any camera a tripod or monopod enhances low light shooting - when the venues allow them!!!Autofocus works well and the transition to and from manual for certain shots is quick such as into museum display cases and wildlife in foliage that could otherwise spoof an autofocus
