    Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Lens

    • Works with most Canon lenses up to 300 mm
    • It's one of my sharpest lenses in my kit, and I own a VERY expensive 70-200mm f/2.8
    • so I think that works out to like a 35 mm when the pictures actually run out
    • There are not a lot of lenses in this price range that are as universally good as the 24mm F2.8.
    • Compared to the 18-135 I think this 24mm is sharper.
    • the more expensive 18-135mm IS USM.
    • I mean, 24mm on a crop sensor isn't the ideal focal length for milky way landscapes, but it still works
    • The first picture was taken with my niffty 50. https://www.amazon.com/Canon-50mm-1-8-STM-Lens/dp/B00X8MRBCW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1535755677&sr=8-2&keywords=50mm+lens which I love especially for couples and newborns but this lens will be great when there are more than 3 and I can't wait to use it
    • Unless you need to stop motion in low light, the 18-55mm is probably still going to work just fine and produce good images.
    • I thought my 50mm was awesome--until I put this compact bad boy on my camera
    • All other lenses I have (18-55mm kit and 1.8 50mm) work just fine still.
    • As a landscape lens I think this 24mm is excellent.
    • While it took really sharp photos, I eventually returned it and purchased a http://www.amazon.com/Sigma-17-50mm-Aperture-Standard-Digital/dp/B003A6H27K, which I absolutely love
    • The 50mm effectively becomes an 80mm which may be ideal for portraiture work, but it's just not as useful as this 24mm
    • The Canon 24mm is magnificent, the 2.8 aperture has allowed me to capture great portrait and landscape photographs
    • This lens is always on my 7D by default because it is a prime lens with a little more versatility and frame headroom than my fixed 50mm
    • I watched a review on YouTube comparing this lens with the popular 50mm and 40mm
    • This, and because they are probably just as sharp, if not sharper, and much less expensive (the 17-40mm is 750 USD, and not as sharp as the 24mm F2.8).
    • It's a great and cheap almost "35mm" lens for a crop sensor camera
    • just like the 50mm 1.8
    • I got this as a birthday gift after my wife kept hearing how much I love my 50mm f/1.8 but always complained when I used it in tight rooms
    • So I decided to return it and go with a 20mm Panasonic pancake lens which works great, has auto & manual focus and best of all no need for a weight adding adapter
    • So, if you need to shoot video on the move, then the 24mm might not be ideal.
    • He's excited by the idea of small lenses for his Canon T5, and I own the excellent 45mm f/2.8
    • Not as good a first upgrade as the 50mm
    • I got this as a birthday gift after my wife kept hearing how much I love my 50mm f/1.8 but always complained when I used it in tight rooms
