I bought it for wedding invitations and it has done an excellent job

It is doing an excellent job which is exactly what I have come to expect from Canon products.

It does a decent job of printing once it decides to print.

This printer does a nice job, but I think the driver or associated software does not sync well with other software at times.

The fact that it ended up making great copies the way it should means it should still get 5 stars, right

The printer made excellent copies and scanned well, too

It works great for the price and does everything its supposed to do - I've used it to print from and scan to my computer via WiFi as well as copy.

Update: I have configured it better and wireless option now works well with the computer and printer gets on the wireless router automatically when turned on and is recognized by the computer quickly

Overall, considering its very small footprint, easy setup and maintenance, relatively inexpensive cost of cartridges and photo paper, plus the additional functions such as copying and scanning, this may be a very good option for a moderately to low in-home use

It may be a plus, but with the proliferation of wireless devices, printing directly to the printer is perhaps the most convenient option

There are better options in this price range if you are looking for a multi function printer.

This Canon PIXMA seemed to be a good replacement option, and our luck with Canon products has always been good

I like the size and design, printing quality is nice, unfortunately the wireless option takes long and hard to set up and I had to do it few times as it wont reconnect automatically when turning off then turning on the printer

When I did get an improper sized print out of the machine it was way off color no matter what application I printed from and I finally gave up

Photos are ok but one of my best photo printers is the Canon Pixma iP8720 - exceptional quality and so easy to use, but it is three times larger

What idiot designed this

It sells itself on its compact design, but in order to print anything it needs to be expanded to a size larger than a normal printer

Hate the ink prices

The price is great because Canon wants you to purchase their expensive ink cartridges

Oddly, for this cheap price, this printer also has a scanner, of which I have no use for, since I have a professional scanner, so I cant comment on that

but again, the price was cheap.

The quality of the pictures is what I like the most but the price of the inc is what I like the least!

Initial setup was easy, but one of the ink tanks dumped out all over my hand

Setup and installation of this printer was exceedingly easy, it took 15 minutes max, and that included searching for, and updating the drivers for the printer This printer also has wireless printing capabilities, but I have not yet used those features

Personally, I would treat this TS5020 as a trusty companion to an inexpensive B&W laser printer

Scanning resolutions are:Optical:1200 x 2400 dpi (Optical)Interpolated:19,200 x 19,200 dpi (Interpolated)It is a bit noisier and slower than my other name-brand budget all-in-one inkjet printer, and the it suffers from the same ink evaporation issues as most other inkjets.

However, it is a bit noisey and slightly shakes while printing so one should use it on a heavy surface.

Though the process was a bit tedious, it was a situation where a document feeder couldn't have helped to speed up the process, and the photo quality came out beautiful.

Even though the printer is heavy for a contemporary one, it does vibrate a bit.

It uses separate ink tanks for each color, which is good because if yellow runs out, you won't have to replace the entire cartridge

The PIXMA uses 5 ink tanks and comes with a full set of inks.

The five ink tanks are never convenient (see picture)

None of the other tanks did this when installing and yes I'm an old pro with Canon ink tanks

The printer uses 5 ink tanks and there is a larger black ink tank that is used for black and white documents

Most aggravating is that it loses the wireless connection; more often than not

Today I scanned 17 of 20 pages when it lost the connection (and I lost everything I'd scanned)
