This works great as my Ford Expedition has a deep dash and nowhere to really put a phone mount.

I didn't want something that would damage my car by either practically cementing it to my dashboard, or using my air conditioning/heating vent.

Not the best car mount to have but at least it does not fall down when going down the road.

Purchased a second one for my other car and the arm is loose from the suction cup base.

The arm is stiff and difficult to move into position, but one you have it the way you like it, it STAYS!

The suction cup window mount is very strong BUT does leave a sticky residue when removed, not enough to warrant a 4 star review.

This sucker is BIG and some people may prefer the ones that attach to the air vent.

However, if you drive a modern car with a long, sloped windshield, and if you have stronger fingers than I do, perhaps this is just the phone holder of your dreams

It does detach from the windshield sometimes (I think because of heat?) and pinches your fingers when removing your phone, if you aren't careful.

The bracket that you have to extend manually will pinch your fingers
