You do have to take special care in reading the instructions when first assembling it because at quick glance it looks broken, but its covered in stickers that reassure you it should look like that until its properly installed and adjusted to fit.the cat door locks, which was nice when puppy was still small enough to get through it

I found that this barrier is more useful if it’s permanently installed

n’t recommend using it if you have a door you want to close

Worked exactly as I needed to keep dog and cat separate with a kitty door to run in or out.

But it has locks on the gate at the top and bottom as well as for the dog door.
