There is a 1.5" gap that cannot be met even after proper installation.

Installation was easy enough, but the gate required CONSTANT adjusting and re-installing after a few weeks of use.

Bought one just to see if we would like it, well I just ordered another one.

Not bad, does it’s just just slips off the side of the wall with a little pressure

It is t as stable as I would like because we are working outside of the the recommended dimensions, but it stays up after opening and closing it multiple times and keeps my baby from climbing the stairs.
