I've tried several car mount solutions in the past (from window mounts that fall off and leave "spit" rings on the windshield to magnetic A/C mounts that just don't work) and this has been BY FAR the best solution for me and my family.

I was looking for a phone holder that would be eye level and not obstruct my view

also my truck dash is a bit high and i am tall and i still felt like it was a bit bulky and obscured view a bit while driving so someone smaller in an suv may have a worse time.

It sits secure and offers a clear view of the phone GPS.

It holds my phone pretty well (iPhone 7 in CaseLogic); there is no groove in the bottom half of the holder - if you tap the phone to vigorously it can slip backward and close into the case, obstructing your view of the screen

It does not obstruct my view when driving and closes when not in use.

The holder was larger than I had expected and my phone did not sit well with the case

I’ve had this thing a couple weeks now and it works perfectly on my dash

Phone is held firm, easy to view and when not in use looks like a radar detector and matches car dash - so not some ugly thing stuck on your window.

No complaints, The only thing is you can only use this in landscape mode only and depending on what phone you’re using, not really an issue.

The SMALL amount of adhesive on the bottom of the unit is comparable to cheap Dollar Store tape and DOES NOT adhere to, or stay stuck to, the dash board

On our streets and on the highway the phone did not move at all, on a very rough road with pot holes it did wiggle a bit but stayed in place

The only slight issue I have noticed is the holder will jiggle a little on rough roads

It holds my personal Samsung J3 in a bulky case, my work Samsung S7, S8 and Google Pixel in waterproof cases and my small GPS perfectly, even on rough roads and construction driveways, the device can easily be inserted and removed from the holder with one hand, and connection cables do not get in the way

What I love about this holder is that it sits on my dashboard and not take up space or block the air vents

However, it’s nice that it does hold the phone in well and not tied to air vent

All the air vent ones kept falling down with the weight of the phone with a slim case

What I loved is I didn't even have to stick this to the dashboard with the sticky pad that's attached to it

so eventually the sticky pad will get dusty and won't stick.

The sticky pad underneath this really stays put on the car dashboard.
