My phone has an attachment on the back making it thicker so the mount doesn't fit as well.

If you have vents that are recessed in any way, the mount may not be long enough to bite into the vent since the dash or other structure may inhibit things.

if your vents are indented, if there is a dashboard lip around them like in my Frontier pickup, this mount will not work very well.. and rattles will eventually shake it off.

The mount is easy to insert and remove the phone from (Moto Droid Z Force in Otterbox Commuter case and Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge in a Speck case) and stays very secure in the vent (2016 GMC Acadia)

Also, you have to remember with vent mounts that you can't use the vent on heat or you'll heat up your phone

The mount did not clip fully onto the air vent as stated, so every time you go to remove your phone the entire clip falls off.
