My theory is that there is too much congestion on Band 13 at my specific tower to get good performance.

The best part about this antenna - aside from its stellar performance - is it's low price

At first I focused on Verizon LTE Band 13 at 800Mhz, but found that although I could get a strong signal with a Wilson Electronics Single Band - 800 MHz Yagi Antenna Model Y8009EL with N Female Connector, actual performance (throughput) wasn't good and eventually Verizon would shift me over to Band 4 (XLTE in their parlance) where performance is much better but the signal was obviously weaker

Connecting it to my spectrum analyzer shows that it does an excellent job of picking up signals from 1700 - 2300MHz quite well

Given the price, this seems to do adequate job

The old Wilson panel antenna booster actually had less bars/dbm/asu improvement but better usable signal.

Stayed on solid 4 bars

When first turned amp on it knocked out signal completely but after adjusting outside and inside antennas works great now.try to mount outside antenna as high as possible and turn it few inches at a time and give it a minute to pick up the signal.

This antenna, along with the adapter, were far cheaper than similar 800Mhz antennas marketed specifically for radio scanners, such as the RadioShack 800MHz Scanner Antenna

I highly recommend this antenna for 800Mhz radio scanners, it is less expensive than name-brand scanner antennas, and performs far better than the stock antenna

This is a spare antenna, works great for our cell phone connection to our alarm base.
