I saw some of the negative reviews and was worried a bit but with the reasonable price point I took a chance on this low profile machine
-
Couple of tips I have carried over from my previous maker that make this much easier to use:-put the amount of water you want to brew into your mug and fill the water reservoir with your mug to get the right amount each time and worry a bit less about trying to see the max fill line on the inside-I don't use K-Cups so to make clean up easier on the reusable filter line it with a small square of papertowel to act as a filter
-
K-Cup/coffee is recessed and it is a bit difficult to retrieve for disposal
-
The coffee is a bit weak, and in this coffee maker, even drip coffee seems a bit on the wimpy side.
-
I will say the needle to poke a hole in the K-Cups is a bit weak so you have to put some decent force down on it to puncture the K-Cup if you use it... but other than that I can't think of a single con with this machine
-
(I don't want coffee to burn my tongue, but it's plenty hot for me as I still have to blow on it a bit before taking the first lovely sip.
-
I timed it, a tad bit over 2 minutes and the coffee is done!I highly recommend for a solo person such as myself.
-
The little reusable grounds holder is a bit harder to clean than normal filters, but also less wasteful.
-
Using regular coffee as I do, I find the little reuseable filter a bit tedious to rinse out, and they don't allow much room to pour in the
-
It does not heat the water as much as a regular coffee maker, so coffee (or tea) gets colder sooner and you’re probably sacrificing a bit of flavor as well
-
This machine gets the job done but fails in temp which is 130 the hottest I have measured
