The instrument sounds good to me, I don't have problems getting a pretty wide range of notes out of it (maybe an octave and a half), and what I get sounds decent in a mix.
The high side of the upper octave sounds a tad airy, but that's perfectly acceptable for such an affordable instrument.
Fantastic instrument, everything it was supposed to be and more!
It's easy to play and overall is just a great quality for the price.
My wife (who is a great violinist and singer) has said my pitch while singing has greatly improved as I have been playing
I bought the Walton's little black first and find the high D note is easier to play than the sweet tone, but the Sweetone has better tone quality and plays in tune a little better
Kudos for appealing to her, as picky as she already is.

that's clear, sweet, and quiet (for a whistle).I love this thing
This is my first tin whistle, so I can't compare it to other ones, but it's a neat cheap little thing to play around with.

I love this little thing
It is not a pipe but rather a flat piece of metal bent into a cone shape; so it has a seam running the full length of the underside of the whistle – which is not a bad thing
