The false alarm filtering works perfectly and does exactly what I need it to

I haven't had trouble with the unit giving false alarms from automatic doors, etc, for the most part.

The positives of it are that the power cord is long, it shuts off automatically when the engine turns off and hardly no false alarms

My old Cobra picked up false alarms like crazy from the blind spot sensors on newer cars.

If you need a cheap radar detector with good range this is the one for you, the detection range is a little over half if a mile with little to no false alarms

So far it's a good unit, not many false alarms

They were still very capable of detecting police radar at excellent ranges, but the false alarms would drive you nuts

But it's really no big deal you can always hit the mute button since this system doesn't have the GPS lock out and won't be able to recognize businesses as false alarms

The nice thing too is that if you do get a false alarm its very easy to hit the mute button and the radar will mute the false alarm until you are out of range

I was looking for a good radar that do not cost me an arm and a leg & will work proper without tons of false alarms

If you're in a parking lot, very near a door, it will detect it and alarm, but you've got to be pretty close, I haven't had any issues with it false alarming while I'm actually out on a highway.

I’m keeping it permanently on City mode, which cuts out all but the very strongest X-band signals to cut down on false alarms from auto-door openers and the like (I don’t think any police in my state still use X-band), and that way, I can be pretty certain that if it goes off, I’m sensing either K or Ka band radar from either a cop or a radar speed sign.

I get no more than a quarter of the false alarms as my Bel RX65, and unlike that higher priced unit, it doesn’t go nuts when I’m near a new premium vehicle (especially an Audi) that has collision-avoidance radar sensors; its IVT (In-Vehicle Technology) filters really work and most of the time I can drive by Walgreens and gas stations that normally set off my RX65’s alerts, but the RAD 350 ignores them and stays

This model advertises giving fewer "false alarms" for electronics in other vehicles, and I think it lives up to that claim.

no complaints here had to turn off the X band because I was getting a lot of false alarms from other cars anti-crash / blind spot warning systems

My friend has the equivalent belltronics one and his goes off with false alarms constantly

Really got tired of all the false alarms with my old radar detector

With other detectors I’ve owned, their alarms are quite distinctive and it’s easy to tell the X from the K from the Ka bands.

I used it for 10 days and so far had only one false alarm and 3 nice, advanced warnings (1 on a highway and 2 driving in town).

In day light, even on a cloudy day, not just with the sun shining directly on the unit’s face, all four of the icons glow as if they are all equally lit up, and when the detector detects radar, the particular band it detects is no brighter than the other icons
