Cobra RAD 450 Laser Radar Detector: Long Range, False Alert Filter, Voice Alert & OLED Display

    • I have only had 3 true alerts so far, and the range was exceptional on 2 of the 3
    • This radar detector is nicer than most in my opinion, it doesn’t have a long startup that deafens you, and the range is fairly good too
    • The Cobra 450mhas terrible range and if driving over the speed limit will definitely get a ticket
    • Great radar and range
    • Less alerts on this RAD450 model but range is lacking
    • Very low range, not helpful at all while being at highways.it doesn't detect all speed cameras.
    • It is effective, has great range, good visuals and is from a well established company.
    • This has pretty good range
    • Works great, much longer range then my old detector.
    • and you will be a step ahead Range is limited to about a mile on flat ground while cop is visible range is cut to about a half a mile or less if out of sight such as around the corner or over a
    • I found this out firsthand when I picked up a cheap Cobra about a 15 years ago but quickly returned it because it did not have useful range - literally no more than a block in the city and about a quarter mile on the highway.
    • I got a refurb and its range is so bad i cant believe how good it looked and how bad it actually is so i tested with a 15 dollar radar yes $15.00
    • Even at the most sensitive setting, this unit had very poor range, a big disappointment so back it goes for "Inaccurate description"
    • They were still very capable of detecting police radar at excellent ranges, but the false alarms would drive you nuts
    • This unit performs very well and easily gives useful detection range that will provide you with time to slow down for radar to avoid tickets, notwithstanding what the snobs who bought a $400 detector will claim (most of whom have never tried this unit).
    • I feel there is good range for detection in KA band
    • If you need a cheap radar detector with good range this is the one for you, the detection range is a little over half if a mile with little to no false alarms
    • Impressive range
    • Good range
    • Good range for the price
    • While not the equal of premium units, the RAD 350 nonetheless has entirely useful sensitivity and detection range.
    • The range is terrible, about 3-4 seconds to react to an actual KA band alert
    • Don't have good pick up range.
    • Saved me a couple times but seems as though newer Jeep's make it go off, and unless the sheriff's around my area mainly use instant on radar it seems to lack range.
    • The Ka sensitivity is very good, about twice the range of my previous 10 year old unit.
    • Like other reviewers the range is *not* long
    • Picks up at great range on the highway as well as picked up a helicopter the other day shooting radar
    • The RX65 had clearly superior range, up to two miles on a highway straightaway and quite a few blocks away in the city, giving more than adequate warning, but also too many false alerts.
    • Super long range, little to no false alarms
    • Has very good range
    • Work fine, the range of alarm not is enought in some cases, good look and value
    • In day light, even on a cloudy day, not just with the sun shining directly on the unit’s face, all four of the icons glow as if they are all equally lit up, and when the detector detects radar, the particular band it detects is no brighter than the other icons
    • Disappointing as it was a Father’s Day gift
    • it is easy to use, and works (worked) as it should
