Cobra RAD 450 Laser Radar Detector: Long Range, False Alert Filter, Voice Alert & OLED Display

    • This unit performs very well and easily gives useful detection range that will provide you with time to slow down for radar to avoid tickets, notwithstanding what the snobs who bought a $400 detector will claim (most of whom have never tried this unit).
    • If you can't afford the $250 price tag, the RAD450 is a pretty good unit and option
    • This new unit works great
    • Excellent unit for the money
    • However this unit is good to have.
    • I did inadvertently buy a refurbished model, so giving Cobra the benefit of the doubt, perhaps thats the problem, but this unit is worthless.
    • So far it's a good unit, not many false alarms
    • I would HIGHLY recommend this unit to anyone in the market for a new radar detector
    • The other 2 units remained silent
    • this unit is great, it has saved me many times from a costly stop, it picked up radar across a six lane hwy with solid buildings, the officer was on a back street and at least a 1/4 mile away, the same street that made me buy this
    • Nice unit.
    • In summary, the uniden is a terrific unit
    • The unit is small, easy to install and remove, a good value for the price
    • If you can't afford the $250 price tag, the RAD450 is a pretty good unit and option
    • I don't recommend this unit because of the mute button.
    • Provided you are driving fairly sensibly (not more than 20-25mph over the limit), this unit should give you plenty of warning to slow down in time to avoid getting a ticket, provided you aren’t tagged out in the open by a hidden cop with instant-on POP radar with no other cars around (in which case, your $300-$600 Escorts, Unidens, and Valentines will most likely give you the same too-late warning).
    • This unit is awesome
