The muffler is supposed to muffle the harsh sounds when you talk, making everything sound more clear and not making those scratchy noises when you say your s's, but it muffled everything I was saying

Unless you have a really good sound expect humming noises

You get what you paid for, the sound quality is pretty bad except and if your skyping or recording you would have to boost the sound to a much bigger quality, it sort of looks like a knock off karaoke microphone.
