I would burn more calories with the recumbent, but I am hoping that this treadmill will give me a better all around work out for my body, especially burning fat.
If it's too much of an incline raising the back a little works well
I'm a "fitbitter" who wanted to remove my last excuse for making my daily step--darkness--and this works well
I know it has a built-in (not adjustable) incline to facilitate movement of the belt
I absolutely love this treadmill... arrives quickly, very well built, mainly all put together, all you have to do is unfold, screw the tightening knob in and snap the calorie /distance monitor on the bar and screw the security knob in and all done... takes every bit of about 5 to 10 minutes

I don't know if it just needed to get worn in a few rotations, but once you actually use it a while and hit a stride, you realize that it actually works and that to hit a comfortable walking stride, you need to lessen the tension.
If you let go, it's impossible to keep a steady stride and the belt runs away from you (in my experience, at least)
If you need something to just hang on to, keeping a steady stride all the while, you'll love it!Bonus: this company has GREAT customer service

My plan was to use it to walk 30 minutes a day during the winter months, but this thing is so uncomfortable to use that I manage only about 10 minutes.
Only thing I don't like is it is a little work to fold it because you have to tighten it every time.
I have a small house and I prefer the things I buy to be of good quality and uncomplicated
So I'm currently doing a brisk walk at setting 5 out of a possible 8 and there's even a slight resistance.
I tested it only to find that I could not increase the tension enough to simulate any sort of comfortable walking pace and the belt kept slipping making it impossible to walk without leaning on the front support bar.
Although I would not run on it, because my running speed is 7mph, is great for a sturdy walk
I am getting a good walk, I can run, and it is very quiet
The front rubber stoppers are higher then the back ones and, I think it’s supposed to keep it from falling forward, but it’s really difficult to hold the handles while walking and feeling them move towards toys and away
The instructions were clear, and it basically came already assembled, we just needed a Phillips screwdriver, and followed the instructions.
The instructions were not very clear, but thankfully there weren't very many pieces to assemble and I managed to get it successfully put together.
There also aren't any clear instructions provided on how to install the console on the handlebars, but I figured it our myself by looking at the pictures and how the console was constructed
Also the instructions are a joke
I have to say I couldn't find clear instructions on how to lubricate the belt
