Again, I don't use it to run on nor even walk fast on as I detest
It's a good price considering the quality of the treadmill
The price is $250 and foldable, small - just perfect for my dogs that are all under 30 lbs, but I don't recommend any other customer human or large dog to use this treadmill.
Awesome awesome Love it love the size and love the price.
All in all, I am very pleased with the product, the price and the quality is just right for me.
However it broke as of a week ago and it is because this machine was NOT MENT FOR RUNNING!!!!!!
There are definitely better treadmills out there, but this is a good value, especially considering my limited demands
The confidence plus electric treadmill is a great value, easy to put together, takes little space yet gives you a good work out
That jerking kinda ruins my stride as I was not a natural walking sensation, but if you can imerse yourself into watching Tv or whateve distraction you might have to accompany you during your walk, you can ALMOST ignore it.
I've also noticed the instructions state you shouldn't be on the unit when staring it, but standing off the belt, on the side rails--this is odd, since it then requires you to hop on and it jerks as you do
A few brief notes:I don't know that this a great treadmill for running, but for walking and typing, just right
You burn over twice as many calories walking, even slow, than you do sitting!
Its great treadmill if you want something for walking or brisk walking
It is definitely NOT a treadmill that anyone could reasonably expect to purchase for home use for running (or even really intensive walking, as far as I'm concerned), but it is great if you are looking for an economical purchase for slow walking.
Let me explain...as I was testing out my treadmill, I increased the speed to about 2.3 miles per hour which gives you a good walking pace
I took it out to use and it makes the most awful noise after a couple of uses.
I'm 5'7 and and the stride is not long enough, the belt keeps sliding to the side and gets caught underneath the hood at the front and makes a loud screechy noise
(After a few minutes of using it, i heard the belt scraping something, but after i straightened the belt after tightening the bolts, the noise went away)You can tighten the handle so you can hold it if you slip
When I first turned it on, it made this incredibly loud, scary noise, like a pneumatic drill
The slight noise doesn't bother me and if I don't have to interrupt my walking on simple phone calls I won't
Just hit start and push the button to make it go as fast as you want

this treadmill has basic features such as distance, calories, and time and works great for walking/running.
At my body weight--about 190 pounds--I can burn about 200 calories an hour when walking 2 miles per hour (the treadmill feels like it runs slow, so I set it to 2.5 mph)
However it broke as of a week ago and it is because this machine was NOT MENT FOR RUNNING!!!!!!
Just hit start and push the button to make it go as fast as you want
The only issue would be the cord leading from the electrical board to the control panel is now on the outside, not threaded through the hand rail
(The control panel was supposed to be secured to the hand rail with a screw but couldn't find a hole for the screw to go into in the handrail; the control panel seemed fairly secure without it, so just didn't bother about the screw.)
Just hit start and push the button to make it go as fast as you want
Screw the plastic handled screw with the long-and-narrow metal screw ('locking pin') into position about 1/2 way down on the left side of the hand rail.
Again, I don't use it to run on nor even walk fast on as I detest
I recommend following Gary Pendergast's excellent instructions here:[
/question I have is regarding the instruction leaflet--absolutely abysmal instructions!
I am using this under a standing desk and followed these excellent instructions to make it work for me: http://www.treadmilldeskdiary.com/setting-up-my-confidence-power-plus-treadmill-for-a-desk/. I removed the handles to get it to fit under my desk and put the control center on the desk
The instructions are very lacking, I even called the company and left a message (it was after hours), but we finally figured it ourselves
It was easy to put together and use, and the box was easy to move into the house without a dolly.
It arrived on schedule and though the packaging was poor (box not good quality) it was not damaged
It also arrived without any holes in the box which I was happy about based on other reviews, boxes were delivered damaged
(The box was broken, but all the parts were there and treadmill was in fine shape.
This works like it should and when I wanted it to have a higher incline I just put a 4x4 under the front, be aware the thing is not packed very well at least for shipment by UPS cause the box was beat to death and one front wheel was broken, but since I wanted to be able to put it on a 4x4 for more incline I took the other one off so that it would not slip off.
The next little nugget of irritation I have is the loud annoying beep with no volume control that is emitted at the touch of every button on the control panel
I had to make modifications to the control board to disable the speaker since that beep was really loud and annoying
The beep is pretty sharp, and always brings my dogs on the run to see what they are missing
The motor is not loud but the beep that occurs every time you press one of the buttons could be a little less noisy
When you press any button, there's a LOUD beep, every time you press it
Also, when stopping the treadmill (usually treadmills come to a steady stop), it immediately completely stops, and I almost fell from expecting it to slow down and gradually stop
mark, the darn thing beeps (of course) and comes to a dead stop within 1 second
The 30 min sudden stop is an annoyance, so I have to remain watchful to avoid the jerky stop while working.
I rather like the 30-minute interval, as it keeps me conscious of the amount of time I've used it, but the sudden stop is hard to get used to
The only thing that I don't care for is the 30 minute limit and the abrupt stop
As others have said, you have to mind your foot placement while using it because it's easy to drag your foot on the edge outside the belt.
The motor is very weak, so when you walk, the weight of your foot stops the belt for a moment (even at ~120-130 lbs), and the treadmill jerks your foot back as it collects the power to keep going
The entire bottom part came flying down and smashed my foot
I wish the belt had some cushion below it, as it hurts my feet.
My feet kept either hitting the front-end of the treadmill or falling off the back end
One reviewer mentioned a burning smell and had installed a fan, but I had my front panel open for a few days, and at treaddesk speeds noticed no
The motor had a very slight burning smell from the first time we used the treadmill and it is getting progressively worse as time goes by
Because sometimes I smell a faint plastic burning smell that I'm not sure if it is my shoes scraping on the sides or the engine
The belt snags, and there is a burning smell when ever I slow it down, hope it lasts a few months and i get a few uses out of it before it breaks down :/
