This device works just fine, transmits both bluetooth and ant+ signal, has a very convenient way of accessing battery and costs a fraction of Garmin HRM.

you really don't need to bother with their app if you just plan on using it with a fitness app that supports it

I tried it with 3 different cardio machines as well as map my fitness, will not stay connected

I've used it a half dozen times already and works great in reporting my heart rate riding the bike.

I finally settled for free app called "acentas HR monitor", which worked perfectly for my purposes.
